Also the cross guild is mostly filled wit impel down prisoners from different levels yes but they've already been captured along with Buggy old crewmembers and I truly don't any of them can truly withstand conquerors so besides Crocodile, Mihawk, and maybe Buggy the cross guild truly don't have a army for war against yonkos which is why I think Crocodile's plan was effective because it would want to make more people join without them having to do anything so that they can consolidate their strength because ik the Mr 2 and Alvida and the ppl who hang out with her from Buggy crew but again Mr 2 is the only one who we've seen and know can actually fight I do think it would be kinda cool to see Alvida fight Luffy again especially cuz i think she had liked him at one point or got her devil fruit jus because of their fight so I think it would be cool if she honed her skills because of Luffy but other than that the cross guild doesn't truly have a army capable of waging a war that they can actually win and I believe mihawk be looking at the whole picture as well so when Buggy made that proclamation Mihawk could've been worried about the fallout

Mihawk is shown to try to analyze everything bout the situation as well as his opponent's and so when mihawk analyzed Buggy ever since they 1st met mihawk thought Buggy was a joke but with the proclamation that Buggy made it could have totally destroyed how mihawk originally perceived Buggy which in turn shocked him into a sense of disbelief or wariness

Since mihawk is known to try to understand his opponent's and note their physical as well as their strength of will or whatever then it would make sense to me that Buggy proclamation would leave him in disarray especially if he's someone who relied on his keen intuition in my opinion

I feel like Mihawk looks at things like Law does jus has a realist and if they account for the risk of potentially fighting Shank, Luffy, and Blackbeard in a all out war for the one piece. The fallout would cause major losses and collateral damage if they care bout that as well as around chaos and I believe mihawk takes all that into consideration as well as underestimated Buggy "willpower or determination" and was shocked by his actions so I don't believe mihawk is a fraud and I also believe if there was a scenario where Shanks had to face off against the rest of the Yonkos in all war I think he'd be worried bout the losses and the fallout

Ive been listening everyone diss mihawk for not wanting to fight other yonko. Lets ask this then how many fighters on buggys crew are on mihawks level or even crocodiles level. And compare that to other yonko crews. I think mihawk sees that hes the only one that can box with them crews so hes not gonna fight them alone

Mihawk knows that and i can assume that he knows that other yonko crews beside captains are strong apart from buggys wich he is part of and there is not any strong fighters beside him and crocodile in the crew who can give hard time to comparable yonko crews.
