It might depend on the Memory that forms the Echo. Fikrul is pretty close to "the next Witness" material, but the Echo has responded to what Fikrul is doing by trying to find a new wielder. Te'Qal and Maya might be in alignment, for the time being - both might want to recreate the past they lost. The real trouble will be if there is an Echo out there that happens to contain the Memories of the Penitent who desired the Final Shape if they weren't entirely unmade.

@@Catalyst375 Te'Qal is confirmed to be inside the Echo of Command. I would bet one of my lungs that Chelchis is inside the Echo Fikrul wields, going by how prominant she is featured in the new lore book (which I'll note, she's sings in). Probably sought Fikrul out directly, looking for a strong willed leader with the Eliksni in mind, offering him power to rebuild the their people, not realising he was going to build an undead Scorn army and now she is trapped. Even the Echo colour between Te'Qal and this one are different, with the Echo of Command being more purple and controlled, and this Echo being strained and closer to red. And even if the Echo in Heresy isn't a member of the Witness's race, I am calling one of the 3 factions having some Echo representation in the future, especially after the Witness essentially being broken down into only 1 remaining mind in Excision. If you wanted a real "oh shit" moment for Heresy, I'm calling the Echo in that one to be Taox.

While the Echo of Command is looking for a wielder and Many characters stranded in the VexNet reach out, one of the characters mentioned does not because "its not the time". I cant remember What they called that character but It was hinting very heavilily to be OXA/Taox.

Whatever that thing is, its shivers created hypothetical simulations where it didn't do so, and they burst to release nutrients into the Vex Network. That's not the description of a Krill, even one who has managed to survive for eons against all odds. It would certainly throw a twist into the Hive's backstory, however, if it turns out Taox is the Echo, and the Witness subsumed her into its collective at some point after the Hive Gods destroyed the Ecumene.

Anyone else prefer when variks didn’t do those chitters? It worked in Star Wars with that one character but because they bought it in so late to his character and none of the others do it, it feels so outta place. He already sounded alien enough and now he sounds like a different species to the other fallen characters. He already sounded more alien than any of the other characters anyway from voice work alone. If anything it makes the most sense for him to have the best pronunciation other than eido who grew up with it.

Supposedly they write it off in the lore as him deliberately putting on an act to make himself seem less intelligent than he actually is, but that only really makes sense when talking to non-Eliksni. I'm not sure why they kept the chitters and clicks when he's conversing exclusively with other members of his species.

His dialogue immediately after the cutscene is him taunting Variks about how he's useless and worthless and what not. The entire point of the cutscene was to give a reason to explain why skolas is such a threat that the scorn would actually go after him. The cutscene show's exactly how deadly they were and potentially being one of the deadliest fallen out there.

and yet we have what literally used to be 2 seasons worth of actual replayable content already, and theres still an exotic mission coming up. I rather have this than boring story missions where everyone knows the outcome 2 weeks in but stretched beyond all imagination with sideplots and emotional drama

This is just the usual seasonal weekly story structured to be played all at once, and to no surprise there’s not a sufficient amount of content to play. The only difference between this season and others is that you get to play it at once instead of timegate. Same amount of content, just presented at a different pace, but seasonal content has always sucked.

@@NGVD24 Tbh the only problem I personally have is the absolute lack of difficulty. We got 3 missions so far this episode, if they had actual combat encounters that last more than 20 seconds I personally would be happy. Legend Difficulty would also be badly needed. But yeah as said the actual juice is the seasonal content and thats waay more than we usually get. Hell, even last episode absolutely delivered on that part with 2 activities, 3 battlegrounds and exotic mission

In the same leak that spoils her getting the Echo also says she uses it to properly rebuild Riis. Which is what her character has always been about since reintroduced. She's going to become the true Kell of Kells. Considering Act 3 is literally called Kell of Kells its focus will probably be the power struggle between Firkul, Skolas and Eremis. I can't imagine that Fikrul is going to be thrilled when he realizes why the Echo drew him to Skolas' corpse. And then Eremis will come out on top. Which I think is a fitting conclusion to this. And then on the flip side Nezerec is back in play. I don't see any issues here.
