The more I watch this series the more I realize Betty is as good a person to her people as Barry isn’t. He’s such a disrespectful asshole to people and Betty is a lovely person. She’s worth more money than probably everyone there combined and she stands in line to get ice cream like a normal person. Sweet to her people, sweet to every person she randomly sits and talks to. I’m surprised she keeps him around as aggravating as he is.

I felt sorry for Barry at the start of this series because they always need to typecast someone as the bad guy, someone to create drama but he is just a total flog. Yeah you can get angry and frustrated, that's what a competitive person does and you need competitive people to win sport but the guys just never happy. "No one should be proud" Jog on flog. The team rebuilt a car overnight. Went from 22nd to 5th. He totally blamed everyone for not finding the door tab and it to be the reason jammed throttle, turned out it wasn't. Not to mention that everyone's strategy was ruined by DJR's move. I've worked with some difficult people, but he's on another level.

Can’t agree with Larko’s comments about Barry Ryan at the end there. Yes, he is under a lot of pressure and I do believe he wants the team to succeed, but there’s a way to speak to people and a way to be a leader without blasting everybody and putting people down... I’ve lost all respect for him after this ep.

Agree. The way he sprayed them after the finish of Bathurst was diabolical. I doubt he has the respect of any of the troops I don’t think Klimenko can see he’s the main problem in the team.

While I agree Barry has some self control issues to work on and there are other ways to work with people, have you built a successful race team from the ground up? Also go and watch the Michael Jordan documentary and check out the similarities.....

sure it's a high pressure gig but the team are in fear of him which creates more pressure and can't be good for the team,Betty obviously likes that ruthless style or he wouldn't be there which is a shame as she seems calm and just loves racing

Barry is in a crucial role. He’s co owner of the team, so if something goes wrong, it’s better to voice it rather than keep it to himself. He’s tough on the crew members because he cares about them and wants them to do things properly. I wouldn’t go comparing him to a team that doesn’t try hard and cheats in races,
