One of my biggest pet peeves with thirst traps is when ppl don’t clean their surroundings before they take that picture, like why are you taking an ass shots and you have a mcchicken wrapper on the floor. Come on now😭

Girls vs. guy thirst traps is something I just talked about with a friend. I’ve narrowed it down to two things 1. Guys thirst traps are generally always cocky not confident which is ick and womens are usually confident instead of cocky. 2. Womens thirst traps often have to do with some type of transition that involves skills such as hair, makeup, fashion, etc. whereas men just look in the camera and wink.

A lot of the guys have what I like to call “secret” work though. They usually use a filter or they’re using a trick to look better (some of them are even using makeup and such.) It’s just less ‘attractive’ or ‘masculine’ ig to show the transition for those things 👁
@freeloading_toad

I learned that to make friends you need 40 hours of interaction and 60 hours for a close friend. Like when you are in school (i.e. highschool, college, etc) you are 5 to 6 hours a day with the same people while as an adult, the thibg that you use the most is the internet so it makes sense that making friends on the internet feels a lot easier than in other places.

timestamping 45:00 for myself FOREVER - “when love is conditional growing up, post your tits online when you’re older” hit me like a fucking bring to the head, simultaneously made me laugh and cry from how much i felt that

The part about adults making friends is so true! It’s hard making friends not on the internet. I didn’t go to college, I’m currently in between jobs and most of my coworkers have been way older than me. I use bumble bff too, but I haven’t had a whole lot of luck. Shits weird man, I wish it was appropriate to just approach someone in person and see if there’s a connection haha

As someone who is going to turn 30 in the summer, the entire thing of teenagers acting like 20 somethings are ancient and decrept crones is mind boggling. 20 to 28 is YOUNG AS FCK. (I'm excluding 29, because I'm 29 and I feel old lol) But also, so many people act is if the second I turn 30 I'm just going explode into a cloud of dust, which really fucks with my mental views of my age. Like, logically, I know 30 isn't old at all. But whenever EVERYONE else is acting like 30 is the new 80, you start to doubt yourself.

I turned 30 in February, and I'm still a baby in some ways, lol. And no, not everybody is acting that way, just the internet children are. Maybe you're a little focused on them and missing out on many other perspectives?

i'm 31, turning 32 in 21 days and it is such a relief to be 30. you'll love it! it still sucks to be called old when it feels like most of my life experiences happened in my 20s still, but besides that, actually being 30 rules.

I turned 30 in august and I completely know what you mean. Like, everything hurts all the time but I’ve realized I am still pretty young in the grand scheme of things. I just hate when people have this association with being in your 30’s like it’s this major benchmark of when you need to have your shit together. Evolving throughout life and becoming more confident is the best.
