Watching this back in the context we have now makes it incredibly powerful and heartbreaking. Tom, I hope I can be as defiant and positive if I ever face of such odds. The art that you produced in arguably the hardest part of your life is astounding and the mark you have left on heavy music, and music as a whole will be your legacy. All by the age of 28. Rest in peace.

This year someone I admired heavily died of pancreatic cancer and another person I've idolised my entire life broke his neck. I'm not a long time fan of Architects but I can't help crying every time I see Tom or listen to a song that could have been influenced by his condition. What an impact he's had on the world, it's amazing how frankly poetic the band are. Yet most of society frown upon the style of music.

The new melodic aspect in his vocals is just insane. It's drawn from the previous album but you can still see so much progression in the style.

+hussguy1990 I meant more the style of the album, how it's progressed from the previous but with now some really atmospheric melodic elements. Sams vocals have always been amazing and yet have still managed to get even better for this album!

Both in musical creativity and in lyrics perspective, Architects are by far my favourite band. They raise awareness, just like other bands have done, do and will. Those bands are paramount. I wish everyone in the world would wake up. Change things. Take back what is ours. I believe its coming soon. "This is a wake up call!" Architects is my beacon. Gods know I need it. In a time of despair.

Unfortunately I discovered Architects right before this album and I can’t say I’ve “followed” them through their career, and I only got to follow them for just a few months before Tom’s passing. Yet when I saw the news I was absolutely crushed, devastated, angry, sad, and everything in between, because of how influential his work became to me in such a short amount of time. This album was already a huge part of my life before Tom left us, and knowing what we know now, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us really has become the most influential album of all-time (in my life) given the circumstances. This is an incredible, masterful, immaculate, carefully crafted work of art that Tom left us with to mark his legacy, knowing his fate, and he came far from falling short of perfection. Thank you, Tom, and thank you Architects.
