For those buying the book, be aware that the retailers currently call it a "Pre-Order". It's not a pre-order. You can buy a hard copy right now and get it shipped within a week or two. This is a funny little prank my publisher likes to play to confuse people. If you're not based in the US, I recommend seeing if you can order the book through a local library! The shipping cost is pretty insane right now, so try multiple retailers to see which one is the cheapest. I'm doing my best to find ways to cut the price down, but it's been very slow so far. The use of the word spawn instead of teleport to implies that this Percy came into existence at this crime scene, which implies that it’s a new Percy that is separate from the one we’re familiar with. She’s multiplying. If we don’t limit the number of crime scenes then we’re going to be flooded with an army of detectives! Criminals will be hunted to extinction and then the overpopulated detectives will be left to starve, they’ll destroy the local ecosystem! Keep your crimes to a minimum, kids, for the sake of our planet.

I've been re-listening to prison of plastic with my mum and she's been loving it. For context my mum is on her 50s and spends a lot of her free time reading and listening to audio books so she has a lot to compare it too. She loves the humour and the just the way it's written (she commented on how she liked the use of similes), her favourite character is Phoenica (though she gets her and Trixie's names mixed up). This series has created an amazing opportunity for me to bond with my mum, I can't wait to experience the other books with her too

I remember i bought the digital abd audiobook a few days after they came out, for Christmas and and a few days after my family was doing a road trip to visit a friend and since i was in the backseat i read and listened to PoP on the car, and that was when i got to * C H A P T E R 7* and i was bawling my whole ass eyes out in the car, and that's why this is my favorite book ever 10/10 Also i remember seeing jello post a meme on twittee that pretty much said "chapters 7 and 12 WILL make you cry" and i just went, haha silly jello, what a funny joke, cut to a few months later and I'm crying at those exact chapters
