I have some issues with my knee buckling. All of my joints are kinda a problem. But, my main concern at this point is my shoulder pain. I just keep watching the videos that come up from this guy because I just love how he explains everything in a logical way and seems like he Really knows what he’s talking about.

I had a meniscus tear that was removed in 1998, when I was 21 years old. Arthritis, and eventually, a TKR wasn't needed until 2019. Pretty successful procedure, I'd say. Now I'm preparing for another meniscutomy for my other knee that is still arthritis-free. Hope it lasts as long as the other knee. Thanks for the video.

Aloha, thank you for explaining the workings of the leg that effects the meniscus. I just had surgery to repair my meniscus root repair. I somehow pulled the whole root out on the inner part of my left knee and they also did a lot of shavings and sewing of the knee and cartilage. A lot was done and now I’m in the 7 week. This helps me understand the feelings of tightness, pain, stiffness, swelling. So appreciate you. 😊

I live in a 2 story split-level house and walk up and down stairs multiple times during the course of the day. My meniscus surgery was over 6 months ago and I am in so much pain some days I can barely leave the house to check the mail. I experience more pain walking on a flat surface than when I use the stairs. I'm using 2 canes to help alleviate weight-bearing on my knee. Am I aggravating the healing process or are the stairs good for me? Thank you, this is a very informative channel.

Hey Sidra, we're so sorry that you have had to go through with surgery due to knee meniscus issues 😔 I'm sure it can be conflicting getting information from different resources, but below we will link a few videos that we would recommend watching. These first two videos we recommend watching first: "7 Essential Tips to Protect Your Meniscus Post Surgery" kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4KtlYKQfMefkNUfeature=shared "The Biggest Mistake People Make After Knee Meniscus Surgery" kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYLOp2eZptaFoqMfeature=shared Here we will link our entire Knee Meniscus Surgery Playlist for you: “Knee Meniscus Surgery Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1maIj5ge4oSQTqVs3RzwpqwV Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. After my meniscus op they got me to go to physio two days afterwards. I was given three leg exercises and I still do them nearly every day. Op was in 2018.. Now Jan 2025 something not right with my knee looks like inflammation swelling. It does crack in the knee and locks sometimes. I have been doing squats and yoga every day. Surgeon did say I would get arthritis in the knee. Hope it’s not!

I had my meniscus surgery 4 months ago, and the physio is going well, however, just last week. Consistent clicking, popping, and grinding sounds have started. The pain in the knee restarted again while going up the stairs. Does this mean i have re injured my knee again? I plan to address this on my next physio visit, but i like your take on it. Any and all insights are welcomed.

I had my right meniscus surgery back in March 24, 2012. My surgeon (who is now deceased since 2022) had removed all the tissue out of my right knee. I would therapy with a couple of therapists who were kind of rude of wanting me to recover quickly in a few weeks instead of months. After eleven years I have been walking and running normally and I hated the fact that I have no muscle in my right knee, just bones rubbing together and stiffness which discouraged me. The only thing they gave me was blood transfusion and not a meniscal replacement or transplant, because that was only solution that available back then. I guess I just have to deal with my right knee having a hollow shape and different than my left knee. I don't want a knee replacement because it would be horrible situation. I tend to live with my current situation although I have bone on bone stiffness in my right knee when I bend, squat, kneel, slowly walking up and down stairs and sit difficultly in a lotus position every now and then. When I stand up straight, I would have wrinkles on my right knee because of missing meniscus muscles.

I had meniscal surgery and was doing great at 2 weeks, then started PT which hurt my knee. At 5 weeks I was at the gym doing upper body weight lifting and stopped to do 10 minutes on the bicycle, no drag. Two days later I could hardly walk on my knee. Now two weeks later, the front of my knee hurts with sharp tearing like pain when I step on my leg. I am very athletic and never had arthritis before the surgery. I had issues with putting weight on the leg after a knee injury during skiing, which I ski all season. I am beginning to think I did the wrong thing in attempting to fix my knee to be able to ski again at an expert level on pack slopes. I am at 8 weeks now. I stopped doing PT after I injured my knee. Wondering if my knee will ever be any better.

@@frazerelliott800 I received a steroid shot the & improved enough to get more PT to where I went to being introduced to doing 20 squats(next step lunges) had to walk very carefully as my knee would go inward toward the knee infrequently hurting badly(Ortho said I had weak quads). 3 weeks ago, just did 20 reps of leaning against the wall lifting my toes. Did not hurt. BAM my knee swelled up big time the first time ever. I have elevated it, ice it, taken NSAIDs. The swelling has gone somewhat down, . but, I can't lift any weight on my lower leg or with that leg extended anymore. I have an apt to get another steroid injection next week. I am at six month past surgery. I have taken to walk with crutches because my knee is so stiff hurt with weight on it. I don't do any extra walking other than around the house. I hope with the steroid injection I can start again healing the knee. I have almost given up going skiing this year. I want to know where you are with your knee. Please respond back.

Try taking Glucosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate combo supplement to help rejuvenate the fluid sacs in the joints, combined with the videos exercises... They've worked great for me and my husband! A study was done comparing surgery to exercise by doing only an incision but not actual surgery on the other group. By doing the rehab exercises, they both had a good result. But, the group without surgery actually had better results! 😅🎉

Go on a Carnivore Diet, you can start with Keto and slowly add more meat. Carbs have GLUTENS & plants have toxins which cause inflammation which causes pain. Read No Gtain, No Pain by Dr Peter Osborne. He describes the different types of glutens, how they affect us and where in foods, condiments, skin care, etc they hide... Also, avoid seed oils like canola, corn, etc. Stick with butter for frying, sauteing and olive oil for low temps or salads if you still eat some greens... Watch Dr Chaffee and Dr Ken Berry for more info on the benefits of meat, bacon, eggs ,butter and cheese diet! Weight and cravings will drop off dramatically with seemingly no effort! All because the protein takes longer to digestive and won't spike your blood sugar, which eliminates cravings. You will be amazed at how good you're going to feel!😅🎉

It’s not a good surgery. I’ve had it. It did relieve a lot of crippling pain but not all. At that time I didn’t need knee replacement. The Pain had to be caused by arthritis. I was in discomfort until I received an injection of A2M (Alpha 2 Macroglobulin) which is known to heal arthritis. I received it at a regenerative place & Within 2 weeks I completely had no pain, and no pain for the next 2years! In later years I started taking omega 3 & antioxidants and exercising more. Being overweight or becoming overweight agrevates the knees. There are A2M offices all over country. Just get a well trained, Ortho to do it that has good experience using it & understands the knee operation.

Please give me advice for bucket handle meniscus, it needs to be done, but I am worried about the pain afterwards, and the recovery time. I’m six years old and I do have some in my knee, will I be limping forever? 😆
