Good video. Nice features on those batteries. I don't need as big a system as you have. We are not full-time, and we only boondock a few times a year. My 300watts of solar feeding my two 100amp hour Lifepo4 batteries has served us well for three years. They do have low temp cutoff and Bluetooth. They only weigh 24lbs each, and I got them on Amazon for $170 each. We often winter camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, and have camp in temps as low as 5 below with no problem. I use an insulated battery box on my travel trailer with a small 12V heat tape, and have not had any problems.

Great battery company Epoch batteries ❣️ If I can make a suggestion: Epoch has smaller 300 amp power batteries similar. You should call them and have them send you three of their smaller size 300 amp hour batteries, that would fit perfectly in your spot. You would be upping your power to 900 amp hours, in the same footprint of space. Give Epoch a call and see what they say. God bless you my man 🙏

You could have added a thermostatically controlled heating pad to your Li-Time batteries so they wouldn't freeze. Sure Epoch may be higher quality, but Li-Time batteries are more cost effective, and teardown reviews show they are built well.

⁠@@lakecavanaughIt’s simple…most people, myself included, don’t know the rules of foreign languages. It’s nice when other people kindly correct us. Thule makes car top carriers. Most people say..Thoole, with a long e, when it’s really Toola. With a short a. It’s Swedish. Alde is a heating unit. Most people say….Alde with a long e. It’s also Swedish, pronounced Alda, with a short a. Hope that helps! And if I’m wrong, someone will kindly correct me. If our country were great, again, all these products would be made in America by American countries, like we older Americans are used to having.

IMHO, the Essentials Line of Epoch batteries are a better value than the Li-Time for everyday RV use. I purchased a single 460AH Essentials for my trailer. Essentials have more features for the same price. Mainly bluetooth and self heating. Epoch is also a Roy Pow/Powerurus product.

I recently built a 16.4 kwh battery from the raw prismatic cells for under $1,900 complete with a smart BMS. I keep them in a heated area of my motorhome, so I don't need heated batteries. That's $116/kwh, and this is for the latest grade "A" EVE MB-30, 6,000 cycle cells (10,000 cycles at 70% DOD). That's over 16 years of life if cycled 100% every day, 365 days a year. And who uses their batteries that way? Epoch batteries are $263/kwh in the 300ah size. I was forced to use the raw cells because the space I was putting them in is long and narrow, so I could configure them to fit this tight space, whereas pre-made batteries of any brand would not have fit this space.

I am sure just like the one you removed these will perform well. Still, I think you should consider replacing these in 2 weeks by another brand. Overpriced IMHO!

Disappointed that you gave up on LiTime so quickly. They make a 280 amp hour battery with low temp protection and wifi connection for 1/3 the price of your latest free-bee batteries. I understand it is hard to pass up $3,000 in free batteries, but do not believe you would spend your money for those improvements!

We didn't give up on the Li-Time. They are going into my Aunt and Uncles RV so that they can run their C-Pap machine when they stay at Harvest Hosts.

If you had to actually purchase them, would you? At $1,500 each, per their website,. That's $3,000 worth of batteries you got for free. I can buy years of propane cheaper. To me, makes absolutely no sense.

Well I paid $2000 for 2 100 ah BattleBorn batteries and I paid $1800 for 3 200 ah batteries so I clearly have spent money on lithium over the years. Would I have replaced the LiTimes this fall on my own...no. I was honest right up front that Epoch sent them to us.

Thank you for sharing all this info on lithium batteries, Patrick. I’m learning so much from you, that would have taken me weeks to learn, on my own! After this video, I feel I can made a good decision on not only which brand of battery would be best for my RV, but what features and accessories I need. I have followed you for 5 years now. Thank you for 5 years of great information! Products are constantly improving. You keep up with these improvements and share them, free of charge, to all of us, not so capable people! 😉
