Apparently youre supposed to fly across using the updraft from throwing a pinecone into the fire (npc gives u a hint). I found out after i asked my friends how rhey got across and i realised i wasnt supposed to spend 5 mins making a giant bridge

That is hilarious, but I spent forever making a giant bridge to get across that gap 😂 I don't have the intellect to pick up on things like that so I usually just make a giant bridge, car, or build a tower to use ascend, which is what I did for the Fire Temple because I couldn't figure put how to use the rail system
