That is really pretty. Looks so much fun to be able to create like this. We renovate mobile homes and usually have to pull of counter tops. We just placed plywood and thought we needed to get the a typical counter top material to glue on and I told my husband, let me see what we can do with plywood. Low and behold. I found you. Awesome guys!

Hi and TY for responding. We repair mobile homes and encounter kitchen counter tops we need to replace or gut the whole kitchen. One we are working on now that we needed to use plywood due to a "V" positioning of the sink. So we were going to cover it with the typical laminate, but then there is a creative side to me that I mentioned to my husband I would like to research other options. You Tube is great for finding people, such as yourselves. TY

These are awesome videos and your instructional style is great as well. For the benefit of the end-user, though, I think they would be so much more effective if you partenered with authorized installers and actually did these product demonstration videos in homes on actual projects vs. on trade show sample boards. That would help the end user see how you tackle the unique challenges presented with applying Stone Coat over pre-installed countertops (backsplash masking challenges, handling drips when one counter overlaps another, etc.). Love the videos, though.

I really love how you guys do this with countertops especially the colors and the beauty. But I have one very important question. The beauty and the work means nothing if it's not durable and last long like the hard abuse Stone or or formica countertops take. So do they stand up to knife cuts and heated pans and vinegar or Berry stains or acid food spilled on them? Please be honest.
@davidsommen1324
@davidsommen1324 3 жыл бұрын
Epoxy is completely chemically inert, so it's unaffected by acid or stains. But knife cuts, that's another story. For that you really need natural stone or concrete in my opinion. So every countertop material has its pros and cons, personally I would not do epoxy over wood.

GOAL: I’m looking to create a waterproof (challenge 1) yet stunning shower wet room in a tiny home on wheels so not only is the water proofing a concern, but also, minimal weight (challenge 2) & the ability to withstand road bumps (needs to flex (challenge 3) are vitally important. 1-What are the pros and cons of MDF vs Plywood for surfaces exposed to lots of water? 2- If one was to use the technique you do for a shower or wet room, would it be better to do most of all of the prep & creative work in horizontal; 3-what particular techniques would you use for any voids or joints (I’m leaning toward horizontal wok then joining in a vertical position using silicone to seal corners)? Many thanks for your exceptional demonstrations of what appears to be a very difficult process until you break it down. To be 100% honest, I’m both an empty nester (3 Sons) and single for the 1st time in 3 decades & the ability to utilize my creative side in the Tiny Home has contributed to healing some emotional wounds. Bet you had no idea that you were providing art therapy🦉😎💜. With deep gratitude to you and your company. Chris
