மிகச் சரியாக சொன்னீர்கள். தூரத்தில் இருந்தாலும் அவரை பற்றன அறிவு எனக்கு சற்று இருக்கிறது. அவர் ஒரு குழந்தை போல தான். தலைக்கனம் என்று எல்லாம் சொல்வது மிகவும் தவறு. அப்படி எல்லாம் கிடையாது. சமீபத்தில் இன்றைய தலைமுறை தயாரித்து உள்ள மாடர்ன் லவ் ஆல்பம் பற்றி ஒரு சேனல் இல் அவர்களோடு கலந்துரையாடல் மிகவும் அருமையாக இருந்தது. மிகவும் ஒரு எதார்த்தம் மிகுந்து இருந்தது. அவரது கோவம் எல்லாம் ஒரு பெரிய விஷயமே இல்லை. தலைகணம் இருந்தால் இன்றைய தலைமுறைகள் கலைஞர்கள் உடன் பணியாற்ற மாட்டார். அவரை பற்றி இங்கு விமர்சனம் செய்ய இங்கு யாருக்கும் அவரின் வயதும் இல்லை. அவரின் வாழ்வின் அனுபவமும் யாருக்கும் இல்லை. Actually , my opinion is Many of Raja sir actions n talks are misunderstood n misinterpreted. Generally Genius cannot spk sweetly , Raja sir is a perfectionlist , ppl who dnt hav this in their life would definitely misunderstand his talk n feel he is Egoistic. Moreover , Legends who lived in Raja's Sir time are nt living nw , in those times Media wasnt developed much so no photography n no videography , We knw abt them only frm the interviews given by the professionals who lived in those era , we really dnt knw abt esp abt their anger n all. Bt nwadays ppl who hav phones they think they are great photographers n videographers without knowing abt the issue start posting all unnecessary things , and its a new trend to post negative things abt Raja Sir n earn likes.

Copyright is an umbrella term comprising, composer's, sound recording, lyrics, story, performers etc. All involves creativity. Performers right is the performer should show creativity. For example, when balachander teaches rajini to act but rajini from his input or creativity perform and escalates, so rajini will get performer's right. Whereas the musical notes of Ilaiyaraja is played by the musicians, there is no creativity involved but no doubt they are experts...however they are not eligible to get royalties. But ilaiyaraja, the recording company have the rights to claim royalties...similarly with respect to singers, yes they will get copyright. The thin line is we should not reproduce other works.

@@BC999 Dear Sir No. Not at all Without Raagas of Thyagaiyaa Swami, there could not have been any film music. All tunes of modern days tinsel song creations cannot avoid the smell of thyaga brahma original creations and ragaas. We are still not able to invent any new raagas on stand alone basis. Thyagaiyaas creations are open program to be for the free use of all. When source is free, I opine, all derivatives from that source also shall be free but if some honour artists with royalty or rewards, it is always welcome, appreciable and thankful. I am imaging the openness and dedication of Thyagaraja swamy It is nothing to do with any modern personalities or artists or creators. It is just a praise and adoration to our Thyaga brahmam

@@ram2862 Madam here. Thyagarajar lived in a different era. Music and songs did exist even before the Trinity. If you keep going back, you cannot find its origin at all. Ilayaraja himself said on many occasions that while composing, he does not cling to a particular raaga, but it is only limited to what the situation demands and what occurs naturally to him as it comes. He did use raagas to compose many songs only when there is a need for it, but he also did add several other non-Carnatic elements to them. It is NOT a mere "using free source" when it comes to creative ability, especially ones like the genius Ilayaraja. And there is nothing wrong with modern era composers demanding royalty. It is just a fair way to compensate them for consuming their piece of art.

Sir It is okay I donot refer to any specific artists. There are musicians who are able to link any songs to some basic raagas of Thyaga brahma whose ingenious creative ability and contribution is never denied or disputed. I agree mixing the original source in to a new creation is admirable. It will be like Ramar pillai who created petrol from water using the petrol as ingredient Or, it is like producing Idly upma from idly which is still the basis. Reverse engineering the created matter and mixing different sources also bring out new creations but its source is the root without which it is difficult. I agree that all creations are to be recognised and rewarded but how far legally it can be enforced is a challenge. I love all creations and nothing is bad in this world I wish all creators a happy life and prosperity. Mixing different systems has to have a early source. Everything in this Universe is open and taken from the cosmic power which is free for all. Nothing can be taken out or added
