EPSON 2760 Review! - Great Photo Printer!

No problem! It is a pretty decent printer for photos in my opinion. Certainly an acceptable resolution for 8x10s and while the color isnt as accurate as a specialty photo printer I found it capable enough for me.

have you tried printing thicker paper with this printer?? im hoping to print 80lb-100lb paper which ive heard some people say it can print on. also is this ink water resistant? can you do a test where you print, then just spread water along the outline, i do watercolor art and i like to sketch out my image then scan it out on thicker paper and then paint, but my current printer smears soooo bad. i know the epson work force ink does not smear so im hoping this ink does not smear as well.

If you use icc profiles for ET-2760 or other series it even print better photos. You can try the Red River icc profiles ;)

Hello, I bought an Epson that is available in Asia. It uses pigment ink for black and the other three are dye based. EPSON-L4260. I am unable to print on glossy R.C photo paper. The black areas smudge even after a week . Any info is much appreciated

Really impressed with the Epson 2760! I bought this to replace my piece-of-junk HP Envy 5055. Just went through setup -- it was very easy ... no problem with small screen, it is perfectly readable and is in color. Ink easy to fill, software downloaded without issue on my desktop. Breezed right through the network setup. Won't be buying HP 'instant ink' cartridges anymore that run out after a ridiculously few number of pages. How many? Seems to vary with each cartridge -- that's how bad quality control must be. With the HP cartridges, you're also buying a print head each time that has to be aligned. I don't exactly know what negatives are ahead with this Epson, but so far it has been wonderful -- 2 years of ink, and print quality is great in my opinion. The build quality of the case and other parts is good, and paper is easy to load. It's really too bad that it puts HP to shame -- I have had 3 or 4 in the past 20 years, but never again. HP should be worried!!

The negatives will be replacing the waste pad and paying for a pin number in order to print.

What settings did you use? I can’t get that kind of quality out of mine.

I cant recall the exact settings but its important to turn off auto sharpening and auto color correction in the print settings and set the quality to the highest setting.

I just printed a couple photos on premium quality photo paper at the highest resolution possible from my phone and I am not impressed. The quality seems really grainy to me not a good quality print.

a little off topic: 1) there is a waste ink tank (wic) that fills up from mostly flushing/cleaning the ink head. after the printer determines it is full via a counter, THE PRINTER STOPS WORKING. of course one should empty or replace the wic. the scam is that you have to PAY to reset the counter!!!!!!!!!! did you know that? 2) epson will terminally brick the printer after a number of pages (another counter). not quite sure the number, it is several thousand. epson says that this is to protect the user from inferior performance; I CALL BULLSH*T !! authorized service centers have an "adjustment program" that can reset set all the counters. would be great if i could download a copy free!

Well if this is true then that’s a big minus and even if i never get to that point, the fact that has a trick like that makes it un buyable, and if we don’t make a point the practice will spread to other electronics.
