Epson 502 refillable inkjet cartridges w. autoreset chip XP-5100, XP-5105, WF-2860 DW, WF-2865 DWF

i bought a new epson xp5100 .it takes the 202 cartridges , in no time flat it was out of yellow ink . my previous printer was an epson xp 320 & it was set up with a ciss , i had just purchased new ink for it ( the ciss) , i used that printer with the ciss every day effectively / efficiently , for a long time ( a couple of years ) would the chip for this 5100 work if i switch out the old cartridges & connect the 5100 to the ciss,

Your cartridges are a regionally branded to Your location - in our region the cartridges have the number 502 - in Your region 202. The chips on our alternative cartridges work for our region Europe. But they are not made to work in a printer coded for 202 cartridges. Sorry. You need to find a refillable cartridge solution equipped with chips for Your region....

Thanks for Your response. Depending on Your print volume we point into the direction buying an Epson EcoTank printer model with a replaceable waste ink container. These models are more expensive but the inks have reasonable price and last for many prints.... our humble opinion..

Why it does not work like this with my printer? I did everything exactly the same. My printer prints with other unoriginal not refillable cartridges but after I install filling cartridges blank pages comes out? It drives me crazy 🤪 Please help me!

Hello Marzena, thanks for contacting us about getting refillables going to work in Your printer. Good thing is that your printer starts to print when sending a print job to the printer with the refillables installed - that means that the refillables are recognized and accepted by the printer. Now the challene is to establish the proper flow of ink out of the refillable cartridge. Please check the following points: - The fill port for the printer ink must be closed - silicon plug must be inside this opening. - The ventilation opening must by open - silcon plug must be removed from this opening. - There might by air beeing trapped in the region of the ink outlet - try to push a systinges´ tip into the ink outlet carefully, opening the valve in there and pull out ink from the cartridge into the syringe. This should also remove air bubbles that might block the flow of ink. We hope that helps a bit.

What if I do a firmware update, is it OK or better not do it?

Hello Matthias, thanks for Your question. Updating Your Epson printer´s firmware involves the risk that alternative printing material as cartridges made by an alternative supplier may be sorted out from working in Your printer. Before the update the material did it´s job and with the new firmware on it the printer does not accept it anymore. So we recommend not to update - this is our opinion.
