Epson HC2150 vs HC3700. Direct comparison with music

For this relative comparison, both projectors run at the same time and one is completely shaded. The camera works with fixed aperture in manual mode to minimize camera corrections.
Both projectors are running with factory presets"cinema" and without "image enhancers" (FI, adaptive aperture, data enhancement, super resolution)

I have both (5650/6700, 6700 seems to be 3700 ?) in use, but in different setup´s/rooms and I agree with our choice. For me the main boni for the 6700 are a little bit lower noise level frequency, more brightness, little bit more contrast/black, better picture enhancement tools and also more lens shift flexibility. My wife likes the 5650 because of the smaller size ;-) Both projectors provides good home cinema experiences compared to the price level from my point of view. I like them both. Big compliment to your videos, I have seen a lot of interesting things regarding Darbee, DIY screen and projectors in your YT channel !

@@zeitgespenst-kanal7625 thanks I been trying help people with some videos that way they can see it on action. My goal is get the 5040ub one day. Right now I have lg pf1500w for its size and very portable but for my living room the 3700 is brighter good for a tv replacement.

Das ist ja der Hammer! Genau dieses Video hab ich gesucht. Ich hab beide Projektoren auf ebay gefunden und war mir nicht sicher welchen ich nehmen soll. Technische Daten sind die eine Sachen, ein direkter Vergleich vom Nutzer eine andere. Tja.. ich könnte beide ungefähr zum gleichen Preis im gleichen Zustand bekommen.. das Problem ist : der Verkäufer vom 6700 meldet sich nicht und wohnt recht weit weg , der vom 5650 wohnt um die Ecke 😂

Hello, great comparison. What size screen is this? I want to buy the tw5650 to use on a 180" 16:9 audio transparent screen. Do you think it could light up a screen this size with sufficient brightness? Cheers!

Hello, my screen size is appr. 125". Its a DIY screen. If you are using this projector in a dark room, without an ambient lights and the screen has a gain factor of 1 (or higher), it should be o. k. for me (under the condition, that the eco lamp modus and a Rec709 normative color preset is used with this projector). And if you are o. k. with the increaseing noise level in high lamp modi it´s a bonus for you. => But this is my individuel feeling and its better to check it by yourself under your individual projection/room/screen conditions.

@@zeitgespenst-kanal7625 Thanks for the reply. I plan on shooting it through a hole in a wall from another room so any increased fan noise shouldn't be a problem. And I heard bulb for this unit were super cheap also, which is definitely a bonus :)

Thanks for the comparison. Allow me a couple of questions: The sharpness in the 5650 with the image enhanced system vs 6700 with super resolution, is there a big difference? Which one is best in shadow detail? Thank you.

Hi, to be honest, regarding sharpness of image enhancer /super resolution I have never checked the difference in detail, because I am using a Darbee for that. My TW6700 is a little bit brighter, less noisy and the black shadow details/black are a little bit better than TW5650. So independent from price, I would prefer the TW6700 but also not die with the TW5650.

@@zeitgespenst-kanal7625 Some years ago I was looking for my TV. I chose a Panasonic TX P50X50 plasma (the latest plasmas). One of the reasons is its good detail in shadows. A video I used to check this, is SuperSpeedWay Imax - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2Oan3ywmbCNnq8 - minute 0:20 car interior textures and 0:27 textures in the mechanic's shoes and pants in front of the formula one I returned a Samsung plasma because I couldn't get that detail in shadows. Can you see the zig zag of shoe seams with your projector? Is the TW5650 able to show the folds of the pants? Both with the optimal viewing conditions and well configured image. Thanks

I haven´t seen differencies in both projectors during watching soccer for example. But if you use frame interpolation, this feature is better in e. g. Sony projectors.

Hi, would prefer the TW6700, because little bit lower noise level/lower fan freqency in eco modus, little bit more brightness and contrast are 3 small boni for that device. If difference in price is small enough of course.

Различия на картинке не большие. Я предпочитаю Epson TW6700. Epson TW6700 немного тише, ярче, немного контрастнее и имеет больше функций. Но он дороже.

Hi, I am very interested in these two projectors. How bad is the noise of 5650 from 3-4 feets on Eco? I expect to 6700 be almost dead silent from this distance. Also, I do intend to project on 120" screen in the room which has white walls with minimal outside. I red somewhere on the forum that 6700 might be an overkill for such setup in terms of lumen output, and in reality it might produce even worse picture than 5650 does in the same conditions. Apart from price, there are several other reasons for buying 5650 (lamp life, lamp price, wifi...) but I am still more inclined to buy 6700 due it to be a more "mature" projector with better ventilation system (quieter) and possibly better picture quality. Thank you very much. Sidenote: I definitely won't buy a DLP projector, since I am sensitive to rainbow artifacts.

Hi, regarding noise level both projectors differ mainly in noise frequency, the fan frequency of the TW 6700 is more pleasant than the 5650 according my feeling. Except price, size and lamp cost, perhaps wifi I see no bonus for the TW 5650 but on the other hand they differ not significant in contrast, sharpness and brightness. But the housing of the TW6700 is more closed regarding lamp light (that is penetrating more through ventilation openings in TW 5650), that could be one reason for the minimal better contrast/black level of TW 6700. My TW 6700 brightness is appr, 1600 lumens in eco modus with appr, rec 709 normativ colors. It´s not too much. I have used both projectors in rooms with white walls, from m point of view there ist not significant difference, e. g. the TW 6700 was not loosing his small contrast bonus. Tip: Check panal convergence (as shown in video) after buying one of these projectors, sent back bad one. One of my TW 6700 had an issue with that...

Hi, for me it´s worth. I like/need the horizontal lens shift feature, little bit more brighness and liitle bit more contrast. But I will not deicde for others. Perhaps use subtitels, I have compared the different properties and featurus also there.

Hi, ca. 20-30 cm vor dem Lüftungsgitter der Frontseite. Hinweis: In dem Video geht es mir nur um einen relativen Vergleich/die Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Projektoren bezüglich Lüfter-"Geraeusch", es ist ja keine Lautstaerkepegelmessung.

Mir geht es grundlegend um den Eco Mode. Der Optoma Hd144x den ich hier habe hat zwar einen sehr angenehmen Lüfter, das Farbrad hat allerdings einen so lauten dauerhaften Piepton dass ich mich nach anderen Geräten umsehe..Sollte eben nur nicht zu störend sein :)

Der TW 5650 ist sicherlich Durchschnitt verglichen mit DLP Beamern. Ich hatte einige wenige günstige DLP Beamer in der Vergangenheit auch mal hier, aber nie direkt verglichen. Brauchbar ist bei allen für mich auch nur der Eco Modus, völlig markenunabhaengig. Aber die Geraeuschkulisse des TW 6700 finde ich wirklich angenehmer, da er im Eco Modus tieffreqenter tönt. Der naehert sich ja preislich immer mehr dem TW 5650 an.

Ja, es gibt Unterschiede vorrangig im Kontrast/dem "Schwarzwert", etwas Helligkeit und etwas in der künstlichen Bildverbesserung durch Super Resolution sowie Lautstaerke im 6700. Aber die konnte ich wirklich nur im direkten Vergleich beider Geraete in einigen Bildszenen sehen. Betrachte ich die Projektoren aber ohne direkten Vergleich, also separat, war es mir zumindest nicht mehr möglich, hier Unterschiede zu erkennen. Aber klar, der TW6700 ist der etwas bessere Projektor. Aber der TW5650 für mich deswegen nicht schlecht.

У меня модель 5600/2100, замерил контраст он/офф, он вышел в натуральном режиме, лампа эко, ирис отключен, в пределах 734:1 Однако есть видео сравнение 5600/2100 и 5650/2150, где разницы между ними нет, так как тройная разница в контрасте была бы видна невооруженным глазом. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5CQlJR-eLhjb9E При этом Ваше видео показывает, что разницы нет и у 5650/2150 и 6700/3700, у которых контраст 1700/2000:1 У меня ступор, как такое может быть?
