I can only use it in ECO mode. Can't wrap my head around how anyone can use in normal mode with the jet fan at 37dB. I hardly notice the difference in light output so not really an issue.

I have mine mounted about 7 feet above my head while I'm sitting, and while I can hear it if I'm listening for it, it's not bad at all. What is everyone doing with their projectors? Cuddling with em? Lol

You need good ventilation around the projector for it to run quietly

What’s the uk model equivalent? Really hate how Epson has separate model numbers for us and the rest of the world. Most of the times I see a review and then I have no idea what is the same model in my country. Is this the eh-tw750?

in terms of this price range, this is the only only I've tested. I only use this one indoors, but I think it would be good as I normally use my budget projectors outside and I'm satisfied.

Is this projector compatible with a PS5? I understand the projector doesn't do 4k or HDR. But, will it atleast convert those signals to 1080p?

Unfortunately, I haven't tested the Nebula Apollo. But I really like the Epson 1080. Just remember, it doesnt support 4k

The Vankyo V530w is a great budget projector, the Epson 1080 projector is a entry level projector which costs $400+ more. Comparing the 2, I would pick this one. Lots of options to work with, colour and detail on the Epson is definitely more accurate.

llol 220ms input lag impossible : We measured the Home Cinema 880 input lag at 48.5ms so should be the same for the 1080 (they are basically the same just more hdmi ports )

Hola, yo tengo el Epson Cinema 880 por que son los que mas abundan aqui en las tiendas, tengo entendido que las prestaciones en cuanto a imagen es la misma que este, en esenas de youtube animales naturaleza del exterior se ve muy bien, pero cambia cuando quiero ver una pelicula mas cuando las esenas son oscuras negro = gris no se distingue bien las imagenes oscuras lo uso en modo ECO, no se si sera mi pantalla o sala, por el constraste bajo en peliculas, lo solucione algo poniendo una tela color gris en remplazo de pantalla blanca pero baja un poco los colores y brillo pero de la otra forma con pantalla blanca no se ve bien las esenas oscuras no se si sera la sala que tiene las paredes blancas, no es opcion pintarlas de color oscuro

If you are able to get black felt fabric, you can put that on the walls instead of painting them black to absorb the light bouncing off the walls

@@HipIOReviews I have the 880 home cinema model. It does not have built in WiFi, but uses the ELPAP11 adapter. My streamed video, whether it be from iPhone or PC, is maybe 15-20FPS at best. There's a noticeable choppiness in it when it comes to video. This occurs on both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks. Any suggestions on a Network Setup tweak I may have missed?

I bought both to test. I prefer the hd146x image and it's very quit in ECO mode. Unfortunately i see rainbow all the time, so it will be LCD for me. also the hd146x gets extremely hot.

It's not bad, I have my projector mounted just above my viewing area, when watching a movie I don't really notice it and never had anyone complain. If your using it in gaming mode the fan actually reduce.

No dlp projector from $1000 to $5000 can beat this it takes a 3 dlp dmd chip projector to take on Epson but that costs around $8000 onwards...There definitely is a difference between a painted color wheel and a 3 lcd separate panels display

Tough to beat Epson below $3K, untouchable below $1500 I prefer the Epson 3xxx series- 3500, 3700 etc Sony and JVC rule the $5K+ roost. Since 1999 I've had Mitsubishi, Sanyo, Panasonic. Epsons since 2007, HC 720 through current 3500
