Fantastic first look Brian. Got mine in today and WOW is this thing bright. Does great even upstairs in the living room with the curtains open. Still doing some reno in the basement but looking forward to getting drywall hung - then it's off to your crew for a Spectra screen that I keep hearing good things about! Keep up the great work, you're a true blessing to this industry!

Just like they said can't wait to see it against the Formovie, AWOL, etc. The input lag compared to those along with its amazing contrast seems to put it above the rest in initial thoughts. I'm more interested in the dark performance and how that compares specifically.

Great review as always Brian! I look forward to these uploads! Too bad the Formovie doesn't' have as low of input lag though. But this seems like a real good projector. Based on what you're saying, it does seem to beat my V7050i. How slow is it at switching modes? That's probably the most irritating part of the BenQ. Going SDR -> HDR or to 24hz is glacial.

@@ProjectorScreen Great news, looking forward to seeing if this dethrones the V7050i as well. My gut says this is going to be the best all around single laser. Hey Brian, How do I use the pixel-shaving feature you mentioned in the video? I have the Epson Silverflex 120". In the dark room, The white lights on the right and left are bleeding out. This looks very interesting but I am seeing what appears to be very noticeable dynamic contrast type effect at about 5:20 and again briefly at 9:12, anybody else notice this and knows if it able to be reduced or eliminated? Is it actually the Epson or the camera? I also notice the projector is tilted in relation to the screen frame, is it needed to fill the screen and avoid keystone, wouldn't geometry become an issue given this situation?

You won't see it from Epson anytime soon, if you want HDMI 2.1 for 4K@120 and eARC you have to go for their pro-cinema line since their mid range and entry level projectors still use 8 year old HDMI 2.0 MediaTek chipsets even in 2022. @@sunlips_ in that price range we aren't close at all as long as you rely on pixel shifting 120hz at 4K isn't going to happen, heck neither this UST nor most others don't even support a true 120hz for 1080p, the 120hz for 1080p support is often an artifact of legacy 3D support so getting actual input signal to display at true 120hz is a different story.
