Question: do you think a larger projection screen for UST like this could work well with the sony vpl-vz1000es? The Sony recommended screen size is to 120" but technically it could be bigger, but it would be above the Sony recommendation. What do you think? Curious if I could get a 130-140 in screen even though it recommends 120.

What type of screen and screen gain was used for the showdown?
@jakestech273918 күн бұрын
Great video! I found someone selling a 120L5F for $1000 with the screen near me. I also found a used Nexigo Aurora Pro with their 100" screen. Been doing some research on both but cant find a comparison because this Hisense is quite a bit older. Which would you go with at those prices?
@carolinadreamer668921 күн бұрын
Wish I could stand in that room and decided for myself which one to buy. I would pay for that experience... Perhaps this year's event, 2025, will introduce a Lay-person's blind vote, where average consumers come in and rank projectors from 1-7 without seeing brand names, specs, or lables. A blind consumer test will show how real world users rank projectors compaired with industry pros detailed ranking. Either way, this is head and sholders above any other content creator in terms of throughness, fairness, and transparency. There is a need for unbiased content in a world with every KZbin video ending with a buy recommendation...

The PX3 pro is gaining good reviews everywhere but compared to the price on the older PX2 pro which are currently has much as 54% reductions at many retailers. Is it still worth buying the older model or are the improvements worth the current price differences? In my case looking to move into UST direction from our current short throw projector which is getting towards replacement. Also understanding that I would need a new screen type if not straight aways at some point any money saved over the newer model could be invested in a CLR or ALR screen. I do prefer the looks of the PX3 pro over the more boxy PX2 Pro , even the Pl2 looks nicer than the PX2 but with prices currently around 1599 € maker compard to over 2999 or just over 3000 € depending on your retailer of choice. Are the new features worth the extra price depending on what we will be doing with it. I do not needd the gaming side nice though it is I have a PC for that. 3D is not a deal breaker. & Yes it is brighter than the older model. However our current Optoma is less bright than the PX2 pro and that is ok with some ambient light , but we most us or curret setup in the evening. My idea is to get away from the cabling nightmare we currently have with a short throw to tye nice streamlined everthing in one place and hidden away without having to channel cables from sockets to the ceiling mounted Projector then install all the AV and power cables . I should point out we have just had our apartment fully renovated so our old setup had to be removed . So we sort of have the option for a clean sheet installation also since so much as changed over the last 6 years with UST and lasers projectors we are currently looking for a jumping off point. Thanks for the excellent review. Greetings from Europe.

Well, there is a sucker born every day. This unit may only be $3000, but in order to take advantage of it, you absolutely need Gigabit internet access, which most people don’t have, especially those of us on an acreage just outside the city limits. You will also need a really good Projector (JVC or Sony laser) with maximum brightness as well as good Contrast and deep blacks (this will set you back $10,000 - $20,000). Or if you are a real 1%er you will just opt for the Sony CLEDIS or Samsung Wall display. Not a single projector that this channel has tested in their shoot outs would do the Strato V justice, so I don’t understand the point of this video. The stuff people spend their money on blows me away. Seriously you can get 90 - 95% of the performance at 1/100 of the cost of trying to implement this stuff into your home theater🤦♂️.
@ProjectorScreen2 ай бұрын
You don't need gigabit internet to use this as it downloads the files to a local hard drive so there is no streaming. You can take advantage of this with any projector if you want the highest quality video and audio files from your movie and also use it as a server to be able to watch on multiple displays at your house. We used the Strato V in our recent UST Projector Showdown as the video source for the entire room at once via our distribution amplifier. It may not be the right media server for you and there certainly are more economical media servers out there, but this isn't trying to be "cheap", it's goal is to be the best.

I was skeptical till I experienced this at my friend’s house. Rich people are no longer storing movies on their hard drives. The easy of a quick search and 7-10 minute download time is priceless to them. It got me thinking. I have over 3000 physical blu ray movies. But each time I want to rewatch a movie I end up just renting it from Amazon. The only downside here is if that company goes bankrupt all your movies will be gone
@ProjectorScreen2 ай бұрын
If the company goes away, you will not lose your movies as they are stored on the server; you may not be able to get any more however. You can also plug in an external cd-rom to "download" your physical media onto the server for a very reduced cost compared to buying it directly from the Kaleidescape store.
@garywiener6219Ай бұрын
@@ProjectorScreen What if you don't have a server? I find them prohibitively expensive. I'm considering the Strato V without a server, which limits me to around 10 movies stored @ home. And please explain more about the external cd-rom option. How is this able to store such large files? And how is this legal? Thanks in advance!
@ProjectorScreenАй бұрын
@@garywiener6219 You can ONLY use the Strato V without a separate server; the other player will require it. Yes, you will have limited onboard storage for content with the V, but if you have a fast enough connection your next download(s) will be done before you finish watching your first movie. The external CDRom just lets Kaleidescape validate that you have a physical copy of the media which allows (through licensing with the studios) you to get a digital copy of that physical media at a reduced rate.
