To clarify what Joe said about the age to join the military, the maximum enlistment age for the Army is 35, the Navy is 41, Air Force is 42 and Marine Corps stops at 28. I joined the Army in 2011 at 21 years old to get out of a bad environment and gain life experience. If I had to do it all over again I would.

Had it not been for the Army I wouldn’t have the life I have now. The Army set the foundation for the rest of my life. At 44, the Army took a huge toll on my body, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

I am currently a Recruiter in the Military and there are a handful of reason why not as many people are joining the Military. One of them being a generational problem and the youth in the current generation. Another is medical standards, it is now harder than ever to get medically cleared for the Military.
