This looks like a winner to me. EQ valve with a different degree back cut that saves a tiny evaporation ridge. Fatter flow curve and tops out the same with better dykem spread.

I just wanted to take time and say Thank You for sharing your tips and tricks. I just flowed a 416 head for my little 305 and they were 228 on intake 188 on exhaust using a 1.9 intake valve. Not bad considering I did them with no sonic tester and just praying I didn't make sprinklers out of them. So thanks again to you for showing me and all the other viewers how to get hp the old fashioned way.

@@plumcrazy588 They will make a great running 305! Glad to help. Those are great numbers.

@@plumcrazy588 The other thing is don't overcam a 305! Rv style is fine.

@@servediocylinderheads I've been talking to Rod at Isky and I'm thinking 209 hyd roller on 108. I've got really good oil pressure in the 305 and I run the wheels off the 77 c10 during car cruise season. Just happy to get payback on the time I had spent hogging out metal lol.

@plumcrazy588 If it is 209 degrees at .050" lift that will work well. You have the exhaust working well enough I would use a single profile.

Good job Charlie. Very interesting. It's going to have some low end grunt.

Oh yeah, that's the winner 🏆. Nice flow, nice swirl, fine liquid dispersion, that's gonna be a happy engine 👍

Swirl takes energy, having no swirl at low lifts means more energy is being used to fill the cylinder than spinning up the air. Once the air starts moving and has gained some momentum, around .300 lift that's when you want it to start swirling, which is pretty much how you have it now.

We should take up a donation so that you can buy a window AC for your shop. Even if its still 80* with half that humidity... Anything helps. 😁 Seriously.

Strong engine off idle to 5000 could be over 400hp if he picked the right cam

@@No1414body I used a bunch of those for Chevy truck engines decades ago. Worked great for 355 with ported heads.
