There needs to be a bigger emphasis for 17/45's, especially for northeast roads. That additional sidewall makes a huge difference in comfort and rim protection.

What wheels would you recommend for a VW with 5.112? I have 8' wide wheels and ET38, any wheels you have that I could use? Will get a 345 big brake kit later and maybe ET35 later.

Thanks for reaching out. The Flow Formed SM-10 in the 17x9" ET42 size will clear the MK8 Golf R OEM brakes with a 3mm spacer installed up front. The 18x9" ET42 Flow Formed SM-10 can also clear, but with no spacers required. Yes, seeing it in person there's a decent bit more room than what you see in the video. With that said, we always do recommend placing wheel weights outside of the path of the caliper to avoid scratching with any pebbles or road debris that get inside the barrel. Modern balancing machines can take that into account when recommending locations for weight placement.
