Nancy, thank you so much for giving me a starting point in EQ8. I bought it a year ago but hardly ever used it. It is not very intuitive, even for computer-savvy persons. You are a great teacher. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

I learned so much from this video that I signed up for your KZbin subscription (Designer level). I've had EQ8 for over a year. After watching your video I sat down and tried some things and it was so much easier for me! You taught me more in 1 1/2 hours than any other source I've looked at.

Thank you for a most informative video, I have just bought the software and was intimidated by the sheer variety of design options! You are a great teacher and am less frightened to begin my own designs.

Great video. The custom set is a very powerful tool, but it is tedious to use. One thing I do different - I do NOT use the shift key when placing a block on the table. I just click and drag it to wherever I want it. Then I use the adjust tool to change the size.

I wanted to do a diagonal set with washing and cornerstones. For some reason the blocks in the edges are triangles not squares. I might be missing something as I've not had EQ8 very long.

Hi Nancy - this was a great tutorial. I had already watched the EQ8 videos, but yours was a great way to follow along and practice making my own quilt. If I join your Quilt Addicts level or Designer level would I have access to previous videos for that level? Thanks so much. - Diana

Great class thanks Nancy.Very clear explanations. I have EQ6 and upgraded to 7 but have to admit I haven't really conquered it. Is it worth updating to 8 in your opinion?
@QuiltingWithNancy
@QuiltingWithNancy 3 жыл бұрын
Yes - EQ8 is a really big step from 7 - I didn't find a ton of improvement from 6 to 7 but there is a lot of improvements from 7 to 8 so yes, upgrade :)

Me too! I've just bought EQ after using Corel draw to design quilts and I miss basic things like align and being able to change line length. Also the snapping option, be useful to turn it off in Polydraw.

Thank you for this video! If I join the Designer level, how many months can I go back and watch what I've missed? And on that note, how long are the zoom videos available after the live event in case I need to see the information a couple of times? Sometimes what I think I remember isn't what I really remember :)

Can I import a picture of a quilt and then design on top of it?
@QuiltingWithNancy
@QuiltingWithNancy 3 жыл бұрын
Actually Susan, that's not how it works. You would be able to use a picture of a quilt design to use as the inspiration and then design it in EQ though.
