EQS SUV vs iX: Can Mercedes Beat BMW On More Than Just Looks?

I'll buy the EQS SUV, hands down. The iX grille has completely failed to grow on me despite having driven my nephew's iX xDrive50 M Sport a couple of times now. I love the grille on my current G05 X5M Comp. Even though the grille is much bigger than the F15 X5 grille, it's well proportioned and suits the size of the G05 X5 perfectly. If BMW were to electrify the X5 and call it the iX5 (in the same vein as they did with the iX3), I would definitely buy that one instead of the iX. At the moment, it looks like I'll have to keep my X5M for a bit longer while I wait for the EQS SUV, or anything else that might pop up before the release of the EQS SUV. BMW overdid the iX grille and put me off completely. I wish I could unsee it now, but....

I think the eqs doesn't have a competition yet, the eqs is the s class of suv but not the ix which is based on Bmw x5 and not the x7, So we might have to wait

The iX 50 gets standard air suspension and rear wheel steering … on photo the iX looks not that good, but in person, it is more than ok, I ordered a black one, the grill is perfect in that trim. I hate the Mercedes EV grill styling, it really looks like a frog … taste is a personal thing.

You can’t compare the two!! It’s like comparing a Ferrari to a ford capri. For a start one of them starts £45,000 higher than the other for the bog standard model. Again one is from 2021 the other is 2 years newer. Daft comparison
