The _house_ represents their relationship, or his attraction towards the girl. He feels trapped in the house because he cant escape the thought of her even if tried. The lights represent his feelings for her, the light in the darkness flickering on and off again. But because theyre both obviously different (a rocker kid in dark clothes, and a preppy girly girl in white,) the relationship cant work. Thats why she tells him "I am a prisoner of your own mind," followed by "you have to let go of..." At the end he accepts the fact that their relationship wouldnt work. So he finally sets her free. He nods his head, accepting the truth, right before the door opens for him as he's ready to leave the _'house.'_

To any former emo out there, I find myself here 10 years later cause being an adult kinda sucks and I'm reminiscing. This video brought back so much. I remember discovering this specific song by Pierce The Veil and instantly fell in love. I remember about a year later Selfish Machines dropped and I was the happiest emo kid. I waited 2 years after that for Collide With The Sky to drop. I saw them live for the first time in 2013. 4 years after I had discovered them. They've stuck for so long and honestly I'm so proud of how far they've come. From playing the Ernie Ball Stage at Warped Tour to having their own headlining tours and going Platinum with King For A Day. Honestly anything is possible. Eat ass and live life fast guys!!

I served 6 years and have changed so much in that time; and completely forgot about all this music and all those old times before I forced myself to be a man at 19. Basically what I think it means, is that he's madly in love with a girl who either dosen't love him back, or dosen't anymore. And he's basically saying he'd do anything for her and is still going to fight for her. When he says "I've found a reason to say: A love you light is a love soon gone" He's basically saying that the girl has shown him that once you start a relationship or something, it can be over just as fast as you started. I think it's extremely beautiful when he says " But i still hold your breath so you won't leave, pastel red and pron star white. Ghost on the alter we breathe don't leavee.." Basically saying that he does whatever he can for her and gives up so much so that she will stay. And I think he means that he's made a mistake but is still telling her not to leave. And then of course "And if there's a god then i'm letting him go, all for you. you alone" That's pretty simple. Saying he'd give up almost anything for her. And then my absolute favorite part ever is the end. when he says "All the stars on your ceiling they glow but not for you.." I think he means good things are going to still happen in her life, but they aren't going to be for her. Kinda like how the stars glow for everyonee not just one person in specific, one person isn't going to make the stars not glow anymore. So he's saying that she isn't going to keep good things from happening for the sake of everyone else. And then he says "through the trees i'll blowwww" meaning he'll always be there for her, or in her conscious kind of. Even though she can't see him. Just how when you see the wind moving the trees you know it's there, you just can't see it.

I did the same thing. Basically, anytime I hear or see the word chemical, automatically my brain goes straight to thinking about MCR. This can be quite inconvenient and distracting when I'm talking to someone about science. Although, really, I don't mind thinking about MCR too much because MCR is amazing. :)

I love the AFFTD songs because they don’t have predictable layouts unlike some of PTV’s recent songs. These, along with holding so much nostalgia, are just so…unique and somewhat intimate. Also really cool motifs and lyrics. Like poetry
