its the easiest though vector proof geometry questions are the most difficult topic in the grade 9 category for me at least like when the question wants you to write like for example find the ratio FP:PM. these circle equations are soo easy Like I say its a grade 7 topic

@@TheGCSEMathsTutor 75.2k now! It's shooting up! I have a question about GCSE's in general. Currently I am in year 9, and i really love maths and want to learn GCSE content, but I don't know which topics to start with and how to practice them. Can you please offer a little bit of advice on how to get started? Many thanks!
@TheGCSEMathsTutor2 жыл бұрын
@@tpiano1165 Ahhh wow it’s really shooting up! 😁 If I were you, and it’s not a quick task.. I would work through this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnKWlKWngMdkaas once you have done that, write down all the topics you need to work on and use the individual lesson videos in the description to work on any weaker/missing areas! Once you have done that and you are confident with those topics 1) you will have an amazing grounding of mathematics up to and including the grade 5 topics, and 2) you will be perfectly set and ready to start the next topics from grade 6-9 😁🙏🏼 Hope this helps!

Instead of finding the perpendicular bisector gradient (tangent) to the radius by circle theorems, you can also use implicit differentiation to find the gradient/normal or parametric differentiation when the gradient function is set to -cotθ and plug θ value to find the gradient/normal. After that you plug in the coordinates into the straight line formula y-y1=m(x-x1) to find the equation of the tangent/normal.

For the last question, I rationalised the denominators which also led the answer to look a lot neater. Would it still be accepted? Also I just came across your channel preparing for next set of mocks and I have to say it looks really useful and I will use it many more times before the summer exams.

[3:20] I'm a bit confused, shouldn't the reciprocal of 4/3 be 3/4 as reciprocal technically just means flipping something over?
@TheGCSEMathsTutor2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely correct! But when looking at perpendicular gradients we use the negative reciprocal as the gradient also changes from positive to negative or vice versa 😁🙏🏼
@woknow93562 жыл бұрын
Yh basically you divide the gradient by -1 for example -1 divided by 3/4 would be -4/3
@zeneko888 Жыл бұрын
what i do is just flip the fraction and change the sign operation. for example, if we wanted to change 2 to reciprocal we would turn 2 into 2/1 since thats what it is in fraction form and then flip it and stick a negative sign before it. so -2/1.

@TheGCSEMathsTutor2 жыл бұрын
Because I go over the entirety of the topic with multiple examples and fully walk through all the practice questions! The idea is that you can skip to the answer and if you get it right.. you don’t need to watch it, if you don’t then you have a full walkthrough! This topic would take 3-4 hours of teaching to cover in class so 50 minutes is significantly reduced, I could of course make a “click bait” video showing you one question and pretending that was enough but I would be doing you all a huge disservice😁🙏🏼
