What is the thinner white fabric called? And what is the black top layer over the sandy layer? Is that rubber or dirt/rubber mix of some sort?

Non woven membrane, rubber chip is black

Hi steve. The arena we are want a 60 x 20. Thing is im struggling with the water....rain water. The field is lower then the road on oneside and level with the farmers arable field the other with no ditches in sight to expell and water.and wen we dug down 2 n half or 3ft for some gate posts we hi water and the ground is soft black fenland compost like soil... so how can i get around the rain water side of things as wont it be a waste trying to put in a soak away??

Sound like you may have to do a long shallow soak away, and.then build up the levels with stone so you have plenty of water storage under the arena , you will also need to consider longer posts in this case .

Obviously this just adds to the cost , arenas are not cheap never have been never will be , not if you want it to last
