Wow, that was amazing!! So true, you only understand that Equestrianism is more than a hobby if you do it yourself. Thumbs up!

I'm 17 and having my first lesson soon. You may wonder why I chose to start so late and that's because my parents feared the worst when I wanted to horseback ride at a very young age. But now that I'm old enough to make my own decisions, I'm going to train hard until I achieve greatness and friendships with not only one horse, but many horses. Nothing will stop me from reaching my goal to success. Nothing will stop me from making that one dream I kept dreaming for years, come true. Nothing will stop me from loving that feeling when I see a horse. Nothing will come in my way only the love for something so beautifully dangerous.

Susie Wolff You're not the only one! I turn 17 in a month and will start getting serious into riding around then. Partially because of some financial freedom, partly because I just can't wait any damn longer! I have aspirations to become a top eventer. Starting late doesn't mean you loose the race!

This video is so motivating along with the music. I just love every second of this video. Horses was my first interest and I’ve always believed that the first interest that comes to mind at any given moment in your life is what will be your passion, your career path, and the light that will take you there every step of the way even if it means running into bumps. I love horses and this video makes me love them and the sport even more.

Riding is one of the most dangerous sports but it’s all worth it in the end. I’m a jumper and there is no better feeling then jumping, it feels like your flying and having a bond so strong with an animal. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t trade a million dollars if it meant I had to stop riding. Horses for life🐎

Mia De Bortoli I do western riding and when I go over poles I feel like I’m going over some small fallen trees. I love being able to bond with an animal that is larger than me.

It’s hard. You get there only to be greeted by flying hooves and a horse the other side of his paddock. You finally catch him and bring him his feed only to be thrown a side unwanted. Ears back anytime you come near. You groom him but get squished between him and the stable wall, no consideration for your space. After trying to pick out his feet, you get kicked. He won’t let you get the bit it. He tries to wattyiu alive when you tighten his girth. He skittles away from the mountain block so you can’t get on. He nicks and tears and spins and bolts until you are on the ground. But you are patient and you learn. You learn his quirks, you learn his weaknesses, you learn what’s makes him happy. And he learns.He leans that you love him, that you respect him, that you won’t harm him, that he can trust you, that he should love you

Equestrian sports are no sports, because the looser is always the sport comrade horse, when it comes to human ambition with silly sammet ribbons and ugly pokals. The means are justifieng always the end. Most riders are forcing their horses into submission by generating pain and believe that it is quite normal - among them famous and most successful horse trainers. Open Your eyes! We are not telling to stop riding or driving at all, we are only demanding to give up the myth of "soft" riders hands, when 75% of riding horses show hairline cracks under x-rays and when 80% of the remaining 25 are still too young and the bones too green to be cracked. Horses are herd and flight animals and should not being kept by tying them up in stables or by keeping them in stable boxes. Such horses are kept in incommunicado and they are showing stress by grinding their teeth. Dog lovers have made much more progress than riders in spite of the fact that dogs can be easier trained by punishment than horses. Horses have an emotional brain, while dogs have an situative brain. Dogs can remember of situations far away in the past, while horses can rememberence ends 1 or 2 seconds backwards.

I love horses, I love riding. I want to compete, ride a big scopey warm bloods, work with a very green horse, show jump 75cm courses, go cross country schooling, gallop along the beach. Will this ever happen? Probably not. Will I ever get my own horse? After 6 years of riding, this is looking unlikely. Will this stop me going for it, taking every opportunity I see? No of course not. If I want to live the dream, I’ve got to work for it. There are often times when I feel unmotivated like I’m making no improvement, even if I do improve nothing comes of it. But one day it will all make sense. What I’ve been through, what I’ve done, how I’ve struggled, how hard the journey was; difficult journeys lead to beautiful destinations. And no place is more beautiful than that upon your beloved’s back the view through their ears. It’s when I see that, that it will all be worth it.

Always remember, never give up on your dreams and fight for what you want the most, no one is in charge of our happiness except for us.

There is zero grace and beauty in having the horses wearing a bit.. Stop using horses for your own damn pleasure! Come on people! Real horsemanship people don't need a metal bridle in the horses mouth! Don't need to be forced by pain!!!!! I'm an equestrian, I have my own horse I train him with no type of metal in his mouth, very light saddle and free of any type of pain! He also stays most of his time in the pasture having fun and playing with other horses!
@IK-fr7ld7 жыл бұрын
Janise Gaudette Janise Gaudette It’s the person in the other end of the reins that matter, not the bit. If you really understand horses you would know. Some people abuse, but putting a bit in a horse’s mouth is not abusing the horse. Now stop trolling on the internet
@wintershock6 жыл бұрын
Janise Gaudette bits aren’t abuse if you use them right. I know they can hurt the horse if you don’t use the bit properly but they are used to gain more control. I ride horses and mostly ride one who is very calm. I don’t use a bit on her though.
