FYI you can proc equinox bonus damage on totem by standing between it and wall as that's considered its back. ( same with loki passive)

Equinox is honestly fine late game. It forces you into going a lot of damage so you're very squishy and can't fully frontline. The problem is that it's so overwhelmingly oppressive in lane. It's by far the best PvE item in the game, especially when combined with death's toll. I've even seen people going T1 Shield into Equinox because it's so cheap and gives you the early defense to not lose the very early.

I'm sorry, my good, sir, but you are wrong. Equinox does not force you into going high damage whatsoever. In fact, it does the exact opposite. The damage you deal from it does not scale off of power or any other stat, This allows you to go just equinox and then axe of animosity Which is a defense item in its own and scales off of your HP and allows the rest of your build to be full tank. And you still do a ton of damage just from the two item procs, since they don't rely on power at all.

If you want another fun equinox god try erlang shen. Instead of qins use asi and put frostbound hammer as early item. I've had similar 1v3 fights because his 1 active with deaths embrace asi active and equinox healing going Is hard to fight through
