I enjoy your videos very much and get great benefit from them. I am 61 years old and started playing RoK just under 2 years ago and often got frustrated researching and figuring out or understanding the intricacies of the game. I appreciate your straight forward manner of presenting your knowledge and experience.

Great guide! For cavalry, I'd highly recommend skipping the Hellish Wasteland helm and just use a crit blue Expedition War Helm until you play KvK 4. The best in slot cav helm will become available in KvK 4 and you can purchase the blueprint with 2 conquest coins rather than spending gems. If you are a cav main and craft the Hellish Wasteland helm in the early game, when you get to SOC, you'll be in an awkward position where inf and archer mains will start making cav gear - and they will all have more stats on their cav helm than you - even if yours is crit and theirs is not. And if you dismantle yours to craft the better helm, you will lose 30 legendary mats. For archer gear, if you don't care about the 3% attack from the 2/6 Dragon's Breath set, another option is to opt for the Milky Way chest for more health. You can add the Glorious legs, boots, and gloves later to add more health, defense, and march speed.

I think the Blue prints won't be a problem, it will be the mats. This isn't a guide for super high end stuff. This is more for budget type stuff. Saving for the Khan's helmet is fine, just takes a lot more mats. And then any awakening and refining makes you cry. Plus the eventual four-piece for everyone who isn't a rally/garrison is ideal.

@@WarDaddyChadski ahaha yeah, awakening kvk pieces gets pricey for sure toward the end 💀🤣 You prefer the 4/6 Hellish Wasteland set over Khan Helm and Navars for the field? +3% counter attack damage instead of 4.5% defense and 0.5% health at awakening II 🤔 What makes you prefer the 4/6 set? My intuition leads me in the opposite direction 🤣 I find myself rarely dealing counter attacks in the field - maybe 2-3 turns out of every 50. I imagine the extra defense and health would be more impactful to reduce the counter attack damage and aoe damage my troops receive. Most of my cav damage comes from active skills or normal attacks while chasing. Losing fewer troops results in maintaining a higher troop capacity, which increases the damage of skills and normal attacks later in the fight and while chasing.

Chadski you should reconsider the leadership set into some of this, it’s proven leadership boots give better trades than infantry set boots 👀 it’s also versatile to switch around, same with the pants and gloves

You could look at that, but if you are talking inf specific, then the 4-piece for field players is a MUST for march speed. If we get into garrisoning and rallying, then yes, bringing in the health from leadership gear is good. But not all that much better than the defense from the boots and greaves.

@ I disagree, nowadays archers are the ones that need march speed 😅.. I’m also looking at it from a budget perspective, with leadership pants and boots for instance you can get just 4 patterns and you now have 2 iconic level 2 pieces that can go on infantry, archers, cavalry, and even siege. With those same 4 patterns you commit to the infantry set, your LC is now just a little less slower than your Nevsky… I wish they brought it into the game earlier, but from a fresh perspective they are very budget friendly

No. For emblem inscriptions you would want Militant or Smite to boost smite. Rapacious or Elite will boost smite and skill dmg

I have the heart of the saint on my kvk1 account and the halberd talented im wondering which to put on my mina on one hand the halberd has the 12 stats 5.5 of which are HP the heart of the saint isnt talented so only 13% straight defense,what are your thoughts?

Probably the Halberd because of the Health. I know it is crazy to say, but until the heart of the saint is gritted, the Halberd is as good if not better.

Isn’t 3P goddess(boots pants gloves) with Milky Way and kvk helm/weapon performing better? I currently have a 6P archer dragons breath and I’m making my 2ed archer march as described above

The 6 piece is too valuable for archers. The health is amazing on the set bonus. I do not advise Mikey Way. Only thing I would advise is a 2-2-2 with KvK weapon and Helmet, then 2 piece dragon's and then two piece leadership

@@WarDaddyChadskichad the maths doesnt lie, tankiest possible archer march is Epic helm Milky way Leadership gloves, boots and pants Kvk weapon Kvk helm crit iconic 2 is then trading like 3% tanky stats for 19.5% attack thats worth the trade Remember most players care about damage mitigation due to restricted speeds/resources You're a giga whale your priority is damage output you cant run out of anything x

For infantry, the tankiest set is Kvk helm Blue shield Hope cloak Leadership gloves (iconic is defense) Leadership legs Leadership boots (Legs mainly due to high defense stats on inf commanders, crystal key legs are equal if theres no defense bonus on the commander pairing you're running. If you have 200% defense 100% health Each 1% of health is worth 2% of defense, hence leadership legs and boots being superior for tankiness. For cav Kvk helm Heart of the saint Set chest Navars control Ash of the dawn (tankiest equip in game) Set boots

Infantry are overpowered in this game so lilith counter that by making all their equip defense to create a stat imbalance between defense and health, the closer the 2 stats are to eachother, the better, assuming base stats are equal. A lot of low spenders run france which gives higher base health to infantry on top of accessories giving base health in general meaning health is even more valuable, no reason to run set boots, unless you want the 10% march speed. Shios to get the march speed quicker is an option though.

For strictly city defense? Hera/Lapu or Hera/YSS are probably the best. If you are more INF heavy, then Gorgo/Hera probably outperforms. If you are being swarmed, Martel/Hera is pretty meta

How come? Great defense and adds to the set piece bonuses. Otherwise you are chillin with Cav attack from the Abyss helmet

The KvK helmet is not for everyone. ON a budget, the Hellish helmet is a must. Because you have to eventually get the set bonuses. KvK helmet is for players who are doing stage 5, 6, 7 of a set.... not stage 1,2,3,4

@@WarDaddyChadski we all agree that the kvk helmet is better tho, and if you craft set helmet you will get only 50% in materials back when you eventually try to upgrade it to the kvk helmet
