Equipment used to make golf clubs, whats in my shop

We take a look at the dirty working side of my club making shop. We talk about the need for cleaning a shop, the tools used and shop lay out scope.

Seeing the amount of graphite dust you collected, even with an exhaust system, reinforces the idea that anytime you work with graphite, you should wear a mask. I learned this the hard way in my shop and would not want anyone else to make the mistake of thinking they can "get away with it," whether or not you find it inconvenient to wear a mask.

Thanks for the tour Jim. I've designed my shop using some of GolfWorks' classroom ideas, some of my own wood shop ideas and have also used some of your ideas. Like all shops it's an evolving work-in-progress but I'm quite happy with it. My tool layout was decided by access/egress so may seem bass-ackward to another right hander. Like your shop (and my wood shop) I enter and do the dirty work, then flow around so that I exit with the clean finished product. Steve

What state are you in if you dont mind me asking. I may have asked before and forgot if so apologese for that. I currently own an athletic footwear store and golf is and has been my passion for years. I would like to sell some equipment here given no one in my area does and we do have alot of golfers int he area just thought maybe start something small that i can manage gripping maybe to begin with as i go down the rabbit hole learning about swing weights and actual club building but overall wondered how busy you sty throughout the year not to be nosey at all but im just in the questions stage of all this. I did get an account with GSA and wondered if you have heard of them or worked with them. Thnks for your time love your videos

Love your vids. Im just getting into club restoration and was wondering if you had any tips for restoring a Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No. 1. Or any Scottys for that matter. Thanks!

I used to finish them , Circa models, I took off the black finish with a wavy wheel and then took out the dings and bought it to a full on shine polish. Then I put them in gun blue to get the satin black finish . They look good just take a bunch of time
