The most dangerous part about the red rocket fail was that the metal rods holding it together burst out and one very nearly impaled him. The motorcycle's handlebar landed right on his crotch which required the use of a catheter every day for quite some time

Actually, it was a couple of the rockets inside the larger red rocket that flew out, flying between the ears of two cast members and another that blasted out thru the metal inches from Johnny’s torso
@NateDogg88662 жыл бұрын
Knoxville after the last bull hit suffered a brain hemorrhage and a bad post concussion syndrome. He said that it put him in a deep depression, but he’s had some therapy and has been on some meds. He says he is doing way better, and that he is no longer going to be doing crazy stunts. This was all on the Howard Stern show if you wanna hear.

@SpartanT62 жыл бұрын
Here’s something that that video doesn’t tell you about for the red rocket, There was a bunch of metal rods inside of the rocket. When the first rocket failed to launch properly it sent those metal rods in multiple directions. One nearly pierced Johnny Knoxville‘s liver, another one flew several hundred feet back right between the ears of two different producers and imbedded itself in a wall.
@jerrygoodman19432 жыл бұрын
Those rods miss Johnny's body and Jeff ears by I think 3in.

The bike stunt was brutal. You are correct in that he broke his penis, but moreover, the aftercare for that lasted all the way until quite recently, he needed to self-catheterise for many years afterwards. I said to people at the time things that don't look too bad are ones that have the worst damage, because you don't take them seriously and exacerbate the injury.

Here in Costa Rica we have bullfights like that one, where the animal is completely unrestrained or restricted, and then a pile of drunk guys jumping around like Knoxville trying to get out of its way. So much fun to go watch. You can get a mojito for a few bucks and sit right on the edge of the action. The animals are never harmed, just confused.

500 feet per second sounded like a lot, but I learned the other day that a German 88 shell had a velocity of almost 2700 feet per second. I guess that's the difference between getting a riot under control and picking up bits of Manburger though.

I sprained an ankle in 7th grade after being tackled in PE by an older kid whose basketball I stole lol. After my mom came to get me from school and drove me to the hospital, the doctor found that it wasn't broken nor was anything torn; the tendon over stretched. They put me in an air splint and crutches, and told me I was fine to walk on it when I felt I was ready. It hurt like hell to put weight on it during the first couple of days, but after that I was ready to ditch the crutches within the week. My parents wanted me to stay on the crutches longer even though I was walking around fine for the most part - I got twinges of pain whenever I'd bend the foot a certain way. Some kids thought I faked the injury because I'd walk into gym class on crutches, but then leave them on the side and still participate 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't run for a bit cuz the splint made my leg stiff, but I was a fast waddler lol. My coaches kept a close eye on me while I still had the splint on, but otherwise didn't stop me from participating if I felt well enough to, which I'm grateful for ❤

Going to school covered in mercurochrome and Nu-skin and gooey gauze was like a badge of honor (and proof you actually went at all) when I was a kid! Mama's didn't raise no wussies in the day... haha... We might not have been the brightest or most healthy or well adjusted... BUT we knew how to have a great time and when to get excited! ;o)

@pirate7720092 жыл бұрын
You should've gone more in depth with the failed first attempt at the Red Rocket stunt because the casing of the rocket failed and had a blowout about five inches below Knoxville's right side and some of the medics on site were saying that if it had blown out about six inches closer to the top of the cannister where his chest was, it could've killed him
