This addiction was caused by him being stabbed also he felt bad and guilty that he was the one that survived the ordeal and that he couldn't save Lucy from being killed by a psycho patient with mental issues

Dr Robert Romano was an even more unlikable character.

Scott Knode I disagree. Romano was unlike able at first but he was more of someone you just loved to hate. Weaver was someone you wanted to like but it was really difficult to like her, she only cared about power and politics.

Laura Schoenborn he did show some remorse and feelings as well like when medical student Lucy Knight is stabbed and he operated on her he was angry that couldn’t have save her. He also showed feelings towards Dr Elizabeth Corday and had friendship with her and felt bad when found out that Mark was sick.

I have always LOVED Carrie Weaver. When you are the one who runs the show you have to put out the tough exterior or they'll run right over you..... especially when they are first getting to know you.
