Fascinating video! What kind of propulsion is used on the small scale models? And are sound measurements taken from the plane in flight or other models in the wind tunnel?

The propulsion seemed like RC jets actually (commercial/store bought) and they are actually jet motors but very simplified. Although they seemed a bit bigger but think there are commercial engines in this size also...
