On my Maiden day, I went through 6 batteries. I do have Two Complaints. COLOR. Not enough contrast between the top and bottom of this thin, Profile, 3D airplane. Very easy to get disoriented while performing maneuvers. Secondly, the Battery mount. Worst battery mount I've ever seen on any RC airplane. Reminds me of a Catheter bag hanging off somebody's stomach. Those two issues aside, the airplane fly's and lands absolutely perfect. Dollar per dollar, still beats out the Twisted Hobbies airplanes. Which I've built 7 of. Aside from those Two complaints, I love this airplane.

It seems to fly extremely well! And hey that's the flying site Whittier narrows off the 60 Pomona freeway across from Legg lake? My dad used to bring me there in the early 70s to fly line control models. Great memories.

I've got about 13 flights onmine so far, just got it a couple of weks ago. I've flown it on the gentle side so far; mostly split-S's, stall turns. 1/2 reverse Cuban8's. Can be docile at low rates, VERY easy to land (even with SAFE off), slows down nicely with a little throttle while holding some up for a 3-point landing. Mine only complaint so far is the color scheme (ESPECIALLY the grey!) if you're flying it on a cloudy day, VERY EASY to get disoriented; I had a minor crash when a gust of wind on my 3rd flight blew it into a position where it got silouhetted by the sun; somehow I got it inverted, & before I could hit the SAFE switch to right it, I had a low-speed inverted crash. (I was only about 20 feet altitude at the time). Initial inspection looked like the damage was confined to a broken prop; & I flew it a couple more times after replacing the prop. I later discovered that the foam had cracked loose around the left rear wing mount. Repaired with ZAP 30 - minute epoxy & a cable tie around the wind mount (cut a couple of small slots in the fuselage & the wing around the mount to pass the cable tie through). I've added LED light strips along the wing leading edges, & coing to use some self-adhesive Monocote (white & "chrome") to improve the orientation visiblility.

I agree with you on the color scheme! Overall, I've been happy with this plane. I have not crashed her (yet). This plane is my go-to for 3D flying in smaller spaces.

So any good 3d plane like this but a little smaller you would recommend ?

Hi! There’s not many small profile plane options, but the RCFactory/Twisted Hobbys Mini line up of planes look promising. I don’t own one myself, but many professionals such as Martin Pickering can vouch for them.

Twisted hobbies (respected name in the hobby) pretty much sells complete kit for the same amount, unassembled Oh and this is assembled
@Brian_Christensen07RC
@Brian_Christensen07RC Жыл бұрын
@@mathursharad007 and the Twisted Hobbies planes fly so much better and this plane verses a twisted plane this size will be twice as heavy… all of that “no glue” stuff adds up in weight and that’s not really a good thing.

but it comes with a an $80 receiver ar630, which is actually worth the money, and the plane is essentially preassembled....have you ever tried building one of these unassembled flat profile 3d planes, several hours to assemble

I been watching you for a very long time so I'm not trolling in any way but the audio over the plane flying is very hard to hear (at least for me). You and your dad always do a great job so comment is only intended to be constructive. Keep up the good work
