This video demonstrates how AOA is related to the flight and "power required" envelope. The key to flying is AOA, which the pilot can't see, and controlling power. AOA can functionally serve to the tell the pilot how hard the wing is working AND power is required to maintain the desired maneuvering condition. An accurate system can provide trend information critical for the pilot to anticipate the need for control or power input. It also discusses the typical imperceptibly low-g loss of control scenario associated with pattern operations and how AOA trend information can eliminate the startle factor associated with an unintentional loss of control.
