Great video mate! clear and concise. I am a novice and just broke the machine out after buying it last year (took that long to get refurb done). I watched another good video and he said that the GRAKO tips fit. So I went out and bought a 210 and 310 and they don't. What make to you use? Alternatively Do you know if i can buy the spray Guard and that will fit the Erbauer gun?

Hahah, just be sure to watch videos on how to use airless, they can be a real nightmare at the beginning. Once going, amazing, just remember to make sure your paint is thin enough, thick paint doesn't work well so you mayeb need to thin your paint.

@@oakeydoke78 practice makes perfect. You'll be fine but be sure to use a very good mask in future, or if you're spraying more than once a year. Turn the pressure down if you have lots of overspray. Use a RAC X low pressure tip, they help to reduce overspary (the mist that fills the room)

@ProfessionalPainterDecorator3 жыл бұрын
You now know about tip sizes? first number is the fan width.... double the first number.. give you it in inches.. a 5, will give you a about 10" fan.. spray about 30cm away from the surface. The other two number is the orifice size (the hole the paint goes through on the tip) the bigger the number.. the bigger the hole, more paint goes through it.. or thicker paint can get through it. Smaller number will be better with thinner.. finish/woodwork paints etc. Can you alter the spray pressure on it ok?

I’ve got one of these and yeah you just adjust the regulator. I’ve actually fitted a gauge to mine. Maximum on the regulator is 2500psi when you release the trigger and the pump builds the pressure. Minimum is about 1000psi. Watched quite a few of your vids so thanks for the tips and advice

@@Capo-xc1ji don’t think I’m able to put a picture up on the comments. I got a gauge T piece 1/4” BSP. Goes between the outlet from the pump and the sprayer hose. Then a 1/4” bsp gauge that’s 0-3000psi I went to a local hydraulic place and they had pretty much everything I needed. If there’s any way to private message me on here send me your email and I’ll send a pic. I found that basically with the machine maxed out it’s about 2500psi

I invested in this unit recently. Set up and priming the unit was straightforward, however, I'm struggling to find additional tips to use with the gun. I bought a Wagner 211, and whilst it fits, the machine would stop spraying. I'd change it back to the tip it was supplied with and it worked fine, put the Wagner back in and it stopped. Checked for blockages and there weren't any. Ended up going to Brewers for some advice, they ended up calling the manufacturer who advised that this unit has not been designed to work with anything other than what it comes with. Very disappointed to learn this, but I will give the tips from Amazon a go as there must be something out there that works.

Great video.. it has convinced me to go and buy one! although most stores are out of stock. The main reason is to repaint all the woodwork in the house inc. doors, I have used WRX satinwood before but brush marks can be a pain and it doesn't say about being able to use it in an airless. What satinwood paint would you recommend?
@SentinelSays4 ай бұрын
Might be a bit late but Johnson’s Trade Aquaguard sprays nicely and stands up to some abuse. Dulux Trade Diamond satinwood is great too, sprays with far better opacity than brush application and is probably the hardest wearing outside of ScuffX. Hope this helps you or someone else who might happen across this!

Just picked one of these up and did our spare room (it’s £170 at B&Q at the minute, but 200 at screwfix!) Completely agree with your review, lovely little unit, but my god it drinks paint with the 517 tip… just used some contract matt thinned about 10-20% and a it must have gone though about 8 odd litres on a medium sized bedroom… that might be about right but it sounds a lot to me! I bought 5l of the colour we’re using and I was expecting that to do 2 coats (albeit with a roller) What tip size do you recommend for emulsion? I was happy with the 5 fan size for walls, but I think the 17 tip size is just too much - especially for a beginner. I was thinking a 515? You mentioned a 315 and 215 I think… that sounds quite narrow for walls/ceilings but I’m new at this! Also what tips did you buy, were they any good?
