If there's any comment they should all read, please let it be this one lol. So glad yall are keeping up so far, I too am finishing the show with my gf (I've watched the series 3 times). Go into watching this show with the conceptual thought of "what if I was in their roles?" and also try to relate their concepts to ours in our reality. The concept of religion and faith beliefs, how govts are handled, race relations, and conspiracies. By the end of this show, you will most definitely feel as if you were there yourself. This story opens and opens and opens so much more.

Just for some clarity. Pyxis is transparent about the "Operation" to retake Wall Maria in order to stress how vital the outcome of the Battle for Trost is. When Wall Maria fell, thousands upon thousands of refugees had to be sent to their death in order to supply the remaining population with enough food. If the next wall fell and another refugee crisis happened, the soldiers wouldn't just be fighting titans. They would have to fight their neighbors, coworkers, and friends in order to survive due to the conditions that would be created in an even more cramped living space. Rule of law sometimes goes out the window in times of crisis, and Pyxis believes that their society would crumble into senseless violence because of these factors. So, he's saying, "Fight with me here against these Titans for a 'civilized' future, or fight against one another in the weeks to come." He's just not going to lie about their choice, like the ruling government did with their previous plan.

I have been watching your videos since episode 1 and loved this new one, too! Thanks for the reactions, thank you all from a Japanese woman nearing 50. I'm wondering if you guys are a little frustrated because you're not used to anime directions and they all seem bizarre to you. I imagine so. Certainly, I know there are a lot of descriptions that make you wonder, but they all will make sense, eventually, even the scenery inserted for two seconds between scenes. This animation series is such a masterpiece that even the original author (Mr. Isayama) says that this animation series tuned into the original work. I hope you trust this series and enjoy it to the end. Many adults in Japan do not consider this series proper because of the grotesqueness of the pictures and the strange settings. They think it's a panic and hero story after all. Yes, but it is not. I'm so glad that your children felt something about this series and wanted the adults around them to see it. Because I think they wanted to share with the adults what moved them. There is certainly something that we adults have experienced (something that children don't know), so this experience may not move you in the way that children imagine. But I still hope you'll watch until the end. I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions!

the glowing eyes are sometimes metaphors of a certain characteristics that indicates the subject is not in control, brainwash, hype or in beast mode...it would also be great if the kids join in...just don't spoil....or give details on the episodes only avoid to spoil...

No, they were not communicating telepathically. They were talking to each other, they just didn't animate it. It was a still frame. Anime commonly uses still frames with audio for scenes with little to no action. This is a cost saving measure so that they can spend their budget on flashy action scenes.

The English dub for this anime is one of the best in anime, it's better if you plan to upload videos of reactions to KZbin specially for the tiny subs, just something to think about for future animes. English dub used to be awful, heck the soundtrack was changed from the original sometimes for some reason... but that's not the case anymore.

They are doing fine with the sub. You re not supposed to watch the show the first time with reactors, so most people knows the story and the dialogue, those small subtitles are plenty enough to know what the characters are talking about

I know the story back and front, still in Japanese all speech sounds like "guenjaucnrbsjjcnt" so it is nearly impossible to know what scene is happening unless it's paired with the soundtrack, specially if I'm washing the dishes (for example) at the same. time

The dub of attack on titan is just horrible ! The dub voice acting of Armin for example is ugly ! The titan voice of Eren in the dub is horrible ! Only Erwin in the dub is as good as the sub
