Yes, but NO. With Eren's power blessed by Ymir he could have made changes, sympathy towards his people, the pros and cons, proper argument by directly voicing it to the world, but he didn't. He simply went the extremist route like a college/hs who just learned about an ideology goes extremists route. Thorfinn on the other hand also went through the same shit with different lenses.
