Think about this; if someone had brain damage, had suffered immensely to the point of death, then had to be arisen with an infinitely bleeding slash upon their chest, what’s the point in asking for an apology? Making Wilbur relive the times when he was still capable of inhaling oxygen, being able to touch fundy without knowing that he’s never going to be alive again, never having the same experiences a living human would have... not being able to go back to see if Fundy was telling the truth.. would that be okay? No, no it wouldn’t. Wilbur isn’t here anymore. Ghostbur is. Ghostbur is more than nothing. Fundy is being stubborn. He lost his mother, but he got his father back, his father is trying so hard, and he chooses to ignore his efforts. A “serious conversation” would be torturing ghostbur.. ghostbur isn’t a human anymore, he’s dead, he is a ghost, a spirit, he doesn’t remember what the other Wilbur did. He’s not even the same person, to be honest, he’s literally an alter ego. It’s not fair at all.

Plus, you don’t see ghostbur having any intentions of harm, he’s just trying to communicate. He is being shut out from his own father and son because he can’t remember the things that happened. It’s not his fault, he’s not Wilbur. He didnt ask philza to kill him. He didn’t ask to die. Wilbur did. Ghostbur is just using the little knowledge he knows , about when he was actually trying to be a good father, and he’s automatically picking up from the only times he could actually recall. He clearly still tries to show “regret,” but he really should not apologize for something that he is incapable to even realize. He doesn’t deserve fundy’s lack of respect or empathy. Fundy expects him to give empathy but he shows none. At least he’s still alive. It’s really upsetting in all honesty, fundy is just being a bitch for no reason; like, he’s not accepting Ghostbur’s attention despite clearly knowing that ghostbur is trying harder than he is.

Why would Fundy be loyal to a nation and a father that always treated him like he can't do anything, he was the only L'manburg member that didn't had an actual role. Fundy was just Wilbur's "little champion". Always treated like the least important. Wilbur always made fun of him in front of everyone talking to him like a baby. A character like Fundy being rebelious and seeking for "attention" is completely understandable, even Schlatt gave him some more recognition.
