I am a big proponent of the curved blade spring scissors by Dr. Slick. They are fragile but for close cutting thread or softer material, they are great.

Right on , scissors are most important when tying . I had to chuckle when you said you should have at least two pairs of scissors, I think I must have at least a couple dozen pairs . All the reasons you mentioned are why it’s good to have a bunch , if you tie a lot you will use them . Ones that fit your fingers are great but not necessarily the only reason to get them . When you are tying you are right you never put them down , after a while they become like an extra appendage on your hand, you can even drink a beer and not poke your eye out. I am surprised that you did not mention Fiskars they are out of Finland and will cut all day anything you want to cut , the one thing they do not have like Dr. Slick and Loop ( which are both great ) is large finger and thumb holes these are smaller on there scissors , it did not take me long to adjust though . But in any case good to see a review on scissors, it’s not something that’s talked about a lot that is very important. Happy Trails
