Go back and watch the Table for 3...well I did. Bischoff did tell JC that what he heard was BS but Cornette immediately followed up with, "well why didn't you deny it," and Bischoff responded with "I felt I didn't need to," which started throwing up red flags for me. In the Table for 3 Bischoff admitted to not remembering the incident, in this interview he denies it ever happened, and after telling me to watch the Table for 3 he makes a statement that either discredits his forgetting the incident or contradicts his statement that the conversation never happened in the first place. Also, I have no idea what Bischoff is talking about with Corny looking flushed unless the video was edited for color correction but that doesn't appear to be the case. An old fashioned worker like Corny undoubtedly believes his own BS but Bischoff is not above getting high on his own supply. This truth of what happened is about as clear as a catfish pond. Regardless, controversy creates cash and Bischoff and Corny know how to work a good feud. Props to both of 'em.

One other thing, say what you want about Cornette, but even Kevin Nash who Cornette has spent years ripping into admitted that Cornette was a no joke back in the day. I think there are so many possibilities of what might have happened that we will just never know. I mean Jim really believes that the whole reason Bill left WCW was because they were screwing with the smoky mountain angle. And I think there’s a very good possibility that that’s exactly what Jim was told I don’t think Jim is lying about that part but I don’t think Bill told Jim that he was really going to be let go because of a remark that was considered racist came out that Bill had said. There have been so many people from WCW and Turner say that that I have a hard time believing that it just didn’t happen. I mean does anyone really know Bill Watts So well that who’s to say that Bill went and watched The promos that he and Jim cut on each other and Bill decided to edit it and just blame it on somebody else. I don’t know if that is what happened but all we know about their relationship is that Jim really respects him but it’s not like Bill and Jim hung out all the time. The other theory is is that if Bill was on his way out the door we know WCW was either going to let Eric or Tony (which Tony has said he really didn’t want the job) run WCW and there is a very good possibility that while they were trying to figure that out that someone from Turner edited it and by the time Eric got the job that had already been done. If that’s what happened then no we will really never know what happened because it’s not like any of the people that do these wrestling shoots knew who from the Turner organization was working hand-in-hand with WCW at the time.

@@Machete87As much as Cornette would hate to hear that he actually does have a lot in common with Russo, it’s absolutely true. The best example of that is from the Guest Booker series on Kayfabe Commentaries. They had Jim on there as a guest in which he rebooks The Invasion. A lot of how Jim would have booked that storyline is VERY Russo-esque. Cornette says it himself in the video, if he was in charge of WWF creative during The Invasion angle, he would have had the wrestlers openly admit to the fans that the “fix is in” as he put it, meaning admitting to the audience that the matches are predetermined and they would have been legitimately shooting on each other both in the ring and on the microphone. It’s something that Russo would have done! Of course Jim’s version of The Invasion was a lot better than what we actually got, but still, it’s absolutely surreal to listen to if you haven’t already.

Rschr101 that depends what you mean by punked out. He admits that most people could kick his ass - and that was before he was in his fifties with bad legs, yet he still goes off on Santino in that video. I don't know if you can consider something as punking out if the guy you're going after fires right back at you. It doesn't seem like he's afraid of confrontation or getting beaten up. Apparently Santino was looking for him to throw the first punch, so it's arguable that Santino was the one who was actually punked out. I wasn't there though, so I can't be sure.

Bischoff vs. Cornette is the kind of feud that writes itself. They are polar opposites in so many ways. Cornette is the old-school wrasslin' guy who values the tradition of the business over anything else. Bischoff is far more modern, slightly closer to the sports entertainment side of wrestling. (I use that term btw as a way to refer to wrestling up until the start of the Monday Night Wars.) Bischoff understands wrestling has to change with the times, Cornette still sees value in the classic styles. Cornette is a guy who knows how to manage a faction, Bischoff has arguably never had long-term success with factions. Bischoff is the far better writer of the two, as Cornette doesn't know when to concede that his ideas aren't the best. Yet, they're so similar in so many ways. They don't tolerate bullshit, they both love the business, and they've both seen just how bad the back-stage politics of wrestling can get. I think disenfranchised with modern wrestling is a great way to describe both of them. They are old-ass men who've done it all in the business, with very different ideas on what the business should be. Some might say that Cornette's nemesis is Russo, but I'd argue it's Bischoff.

Jim has repeatedly said his liking of wrestling is limited in types of styles i.e. doesn't like women's wrestling, Lucha Libre, Japanese and hardcore wrestling among others. 2 of the greatest non wrestling shooters in the business. I love hearing their rants. Stone cold is the greatest shooter in wrestling.

I don't know who is telling the truth but Cornette is far more entertaining than EB.

Bischoff 1, Cornette 0. According to previous interviews (with Eric I believe), Watts was fired for literally taking a piss off of a balcony facing a major street in Atlanta.

The story of bishoff firing ole Anderson makes me belive he wasn't gonna buck up and try to get jim to fight him. From all accounts that I've heard, he was afraid to fire ole to his face and waited until the day after he saw him in person, to fire him on the phone. If he's afraid to fire somone I doubt he's starting fist fights.

This shit legitimately pisses me off. They choose to omit the role of Cowboy Bill Watts, and instead, decide to tell this story without even mentioning his name. Disgusting.

Corny’s whole life is just working angles and generating heat. 😂 All this is probably a work. Corny probably does despise Bischoff but they just might be using it to gain some attention.

@@ninjacyborgbieber8156 maybe "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan didn't want to job to Bret "The Hitman" Hart to beat him in the WWF; maybe that is why, he lost to Yoko(zuna) at a Wrestlemania. He came to the ring with a swollen black eye. A Hogan vs. The Hitman/Excellence of Execution match did happen much later in WCW/NWA/neo though.
