the doc will probably be a combo of both, the rise with vkm being interviewed about his life creating mania and all that and the fall will be post-jg / the hit piece part without him in it. The question is will vkm show up in the finale for a new interview. I'd imagine that's the ending the filmmakers would want.

They wouldn't have had to pay Netflix. Nick could have just met with Ted and asked him not to and Netflix wouldn't air it. The WWE wants this out there because it gives cloud cover to their stars and allows them to move on from this. It also gives them an opportunity to show the difference between how things were and how they are now. This resets the board and now you have a new era.

It's a well known fact Netflix was working with Vince on the doc series during the pandemic, they worked on it together and it was suppose to drop 2 years ago, the scandal came out and it was scrapped. They've re-purposed the same material for this new series, taking into account the allegations. It'll be a semi-hit piece for sure.
