It's a dream for so many of them - work how I want, be an indie wrestler, no one tells me what to do, and I can actually feed my family even if I don't draw a dime. I get it, I totally understand it, I don't begrudge any talent getting the money while they can. But to have the illusion that it's "good for the industry" is...delusional.

@@gimmiebackmybike1831 same. I’ve always said I do not blame “the boys” at all! If you’re getting paid 6 figures plus, and AT WORST I’m only having to wrestle one day a week (but with a lot of the roster it’s probably closer to one day a month) and not having to go work a normal job while wrestling indie dates a couple of days a week and barely making $20 by the time I’ve paid for my travel expenses etc. then I’d be saying it’s the best place ever! Particularly if you’re a realist and you know you’ll never get a chance on WWE

9:20 One thing I would say about the Dark Order, At the time when Brodie Lee was the leader, The Dark Order had steam (not nuclear but good momentum) Unfortunately Brodie Lee passed away. At the time, everyone was wondering when Brodie passed away “Well who’s going to take over The Dark Order?!” They signed Aleister Black (Formerly known as Tommy End) now know as Malakai Black…. He would have been the perfect talent to take over the mantle as The Dark Order leader and make that group more credible, dangerous and super hot but the other members said they didn’t want a new leader…. I get it but now you’re not even on the card. For Tony to survive he’s gotta do three things 1. Hire a booker that knows what he’s doing 2. Talent raid Rhea Ripley (if you can’t get Rhea then Asuka) 3. Pull up the brinks truck to hire either Brock (if the heat goes away) and if you can’t get Brock then buy Orton. At this point thats the only way you can compete
@ChrisJericho22
@ChrisJericho22 16 күн бұрын
All he needs to do is stripped the powers from EVP's and get rid of people like a Cucks, Adam Hangnail and stop giving creative freedom to wrestlers and stop listening to people like Jericho. And surround himself with people who are real to him and ofc hire a real booker. But sadly TK won't do it as he is held bend on being the owner and booker of a wrestling promotion with different other designations.

Death matches are not to everyone’s taste and I think we can all get that, but they aren’t in themselves the problem. I will say I hate how AEW books them. Pentagon Jr vs Vampiro in LU is how you book it. Made sense for both the characters in the ring. Made sense in the story. Made sense that it would be brutal. Made sense in that promotion at that time. Did exactly what it set out to do, get Pentagon Jr, Vampiro and the promotion over, all in different ways. You don’t - for example - advertise you are having an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. That is already trash-tier booking.

Tony is running AEW the same way Vince ran WWE in the 2010s. Into the ground. Pushes starting then stopping out of nowhere. People getting over organically then made to change what they were doing. Wrestlers not being on tv for weeks or months. Too much blood on tv so means very little now. Refs letting wrestlers fight on the outside of the ring in every match and rarely doing a 10 count. Many instances of acts/things that should be used sparingly to keep their impact high are so common now they don't get the crowds to react anymore. Roster is too big does he even use half of it in a 1-3 month period

Nearly all of the top spots are occupied by their friends, and most of the crap that is being done on AEW tv right now is the same kind of crap they did in PWG and New Japan. If Tony gets rid of the Bucks and starts listening to some of the professionals he has working for him, there is a chance.

To be fair, i dont mind the concept of keeping records, would theoretically force there to be a rhyme and a reason to who and why im watching a title fight. People arent constantly jumping the line because...Goldberg gets cut off during a promo or some other poorly contrived reason. And they could afford to rotate the roster a little more. Every show its the same people doing the same matches for what feels like years at this point. I would say there are no filler matches anymore, but half the show is filler matches that have been rinsed and repeated like theyre major storylines. I hate AEW as much as anyone else, but WWE also suffers from a lack of competition. They may be miles ahead of AEW, but that doesnt mean they can rest on their laurels.
@joemckim1183
@joemckim1183 16 күн бұрын
But records don't make sense in pro wrestling. If you do a triple threat match there's only 1 winner. So the winner of that match went 1-0 in the match 2 people went 0-1. Or in a battle royal of 20 people, 1 person went 1-0 and the other 19 were 0-1 in that matchup. Having a winning record in wrestling is essentially imnpossible unless you're getting an uber push.
