That intro promo was awesome! Everything he said made sense so I don’t understand people saying it didn’t. Did it go a little long? And go back and watch Halloween Havoc. Hogan made that match awful, not Warrior. Hogan acted like he was drunk and even almost lit his own face on fire. Warrior gets a bad rep and it’s undeserved.

To be fair to Bischoff, he also built the ship into a competitor to the WWF. He just hitched his wagon to Hogan for too long, which led to all the other problems afterward. If he let Sting win clean, and then kept Hogan as far away from the championship as possible (following whatever contract restrictions he had to the letter and no more) things probably don't get so bad.
@Colt2OO25 сағат бұрын
Bro really thinks Bischoff cares what critics like you say or is even reading the comments, sure he might have unintentionally accelerated its demise but the whole reason that ship even stayed afloat in the first place was because of everything he did differently than whatever comedic garbage WWE was putting out in '95 and '96. This is a old one, but still Eric is such a Hogan mark and not down with the interviewer playing along but I get it. Everyone knew Hogan and Eric brought Warrior back to not only try to recapture their WM6 moment, but also so Hogan can get his win back. Hogan was even the one that reached out to him, then had Eric make an offer to get him to come back. They started talking to him, according to Warrior, back in 97 before he actually agreed and appeared in 98. Everyone warned him as to way they brought him back, and sadly he didn't believe them, and found out the hard way. The promo thing was more like 15mins, and I remember watching it, and he was playing into the crowd and they were into it. They were chanting Warrior's name and "Hogan Sucks" near the end. So that was likely the real issue, that Hogan was getting booed and Warrior was getting over. They screwed him, and instead of owning it they blamed him for the issues that went on. Hell, he even said the supernatural stuff they had him do was suppose to be a one off. Keep some bits but not the trap door, disappearing and mirror thing. They even had him stay under the ring to pop up through the trap door, then go back and sit under there till the arena was empty. And they didn't even wait for him to get out, they just left him there to be met by the cleanup crew. Still they kept going, and he got hurt breaking out of the cage cuz they had him appear in it and tear out of it. But he wasn't the only one that got hurt either, Bulldog got really hurt when he was slammed on the trap door and so was Alex Wright. According to Alex, neither Eric or anyone from management warned them about the trap door being there. Which is fucked up, cuz they had two rings there and could have told them to wrestle in the other one. But Eric and them are dicks, who even fired Bulldog while he was in recovery. Hell when Sid broke his leg in the ring, they fired him while he was still recovering too. Either way, they made all these promises to Warrior that was suppose to go down after the match with Hogan. Which Hogan botch it. I mean it started off good, till the ref got knocked out and the NWO jumped in. But then it got back on track, till Hogan botched the fire ball. For a sec it looked like they were going to get back on track again, but nope, and it ended with Warrior out in the ring covered in gasoline. Warrior appeared one more time, then they had him sit at home till his contract was up. He even talked about how he tried calling them to get things moving, but Eric wouldn't return any of his calls. Warrior pretty much retired after this, only having a final retirement match in 08 against Orlando Jordan. RIP Warrior
