Shin lim had everything on 100% level Magic/Music, Act/Personality/Stage presence and all! Eric is good but missing some of those

As a magician myself I'm very much behind Eric to win, but the only way Eric could beat Shin Lim is if they were on the same season. And their acts, with the different effects, methods, and skills used are different more than they are alike. The video title is very much unfair to both of them. Video title should be, "Can Eric Chien keep magic king of AGT". And sadly the title is a setup for failure for Eric because Shin Lim was able to compete and win twice in a row, Eric probably won't get the same chance.

@@raymondwildeman2730 My only point is that in the title asking if Eric can beat Shin Lim when the're not even competing against each other is unfair to both. And it sounds like you know your card sleights, I'm sure you can go on AGT and do an act that only involves a force, false cut and color change (along with your double lift) build an act around it and people would be amazed lol. But you would want to actually be in the same competition as the person your being compared to. It would be unfair for me to come on the season after you, use some of the same skills and say I beat you. Or I could do a Matrix, something you may not have done, and people think i'm better because I performed a different type of trick using simple sleights.

@@KivoltTV that's fair, i'm just saying that people are going to get compared to each other all the time, whether or not they're in the same competition. Shin won FISM 2015 so if Eric wins AGT this year, then technicall Shin's won two "got talents" and a FISM and so as Eric. It's like comparing different era sport stars. Who's better? Kobe or Jordan? Both have 5+ rings, both have at least a three peat, Kobe played with scrubs outside the Shaq era.. Jordan had Rodman and Pippen.. etc

Shin Lim had amazing style, synchronized with music etc., which almost no other magician has. Eric has great tricks but its not as captivating.

You are right! But don't forget that Shin Lim practise painist for a couple of years and its helps him sync perfectly while doing magic. Eric is doing great in his own way. He has an impressive and flawless hand close

Genius , masterstroke . By making everyone so transfixed by what he is doing, he makes close up magic like a big stage act in fact more interesting n captivating than a lot of the big stage acts. As a magician myself that comment makes no sense because they are both different in many ways. You can like an effect of one trick more than another but that's opinion. If your going to judge the skill it took to create the effect, that's totally different. If you only judge AGT, Shin Lim's magic was 90% sleight of hand, Eric is about 40%. If your going to judge them by effects they both have done, for example their color changes, and the more difficult methods they used, Shin Lim has by far outperformed Eric. But that in no way means Eric is worse or better.

he was invited to come to AGT just like Shin was invited . That Swedish got talent winner singer was also an invited one.. So whats your problem? Mediocre talents are a dime a dozen but top world class talents are rarer breed. Agt will not have many world class talents left to join the show unless they open up to top talents from other parts of the world and thats what they have been doing since 3 seasons ago when you see non americans appearing in the show. So better get used to this change .
