@KJD6821 Sure, I can see liking artists who write their own songs better, assuming you actually like the songs. But it seems pretty silly to hate on somebody just because they don't. If it's a good song, and somebody sings it good, what's the problem? Some people are musicians, some people are writers, a rare few are both (and good at it.) From the point of view of a person listening to a song, there shouldn't be any difference.

She named it "out of my life" a true story that she experience. she wrote it sitting on the greyhound bus just after she broke up with someone. @KJD6821 sorry, not clear at all. I'll take a guy that can sing and play an instrument and I don't five a fuck who writes the song. Did you see Sarah Evans performance at the CMA last month? It sucked! Her tone was way off, she couldn't modulate the harmony and at several points throughout the song it failed (cracked)! But I guess because she wrote the song she's legit. Do you view actors in the same way? Of course not, that wouldn't make sense either would it?
