Been listening to EC for over 40 yr. now and it still sounds as fresh as the first time I heard it. This rendition of Ramblin is the best. For my money Clapton is the best.

The first dominoes show was in Detroit, with Duane. It made the hair raise on my arms. I will never forget that show.

The first and only complete, concert appearance by Duane with the Dominos was in Chicago at The Auditorium Theater. He did a walk-on for one song in Detroit, a few weeks later.

No, Allman only played at the Tampa (Nov 30, 1970) and Syracuse NY (Dec 1, 1970) shows. A recording exists of the Tampa concert. On Nov 25, when Clapton played the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Duane Allman and the Allman Brothers were playing in Birmingham Alabama.

No, the first Derek & The Dominos US show was Oct 15, 1970 at Rider College Trenton , NJ.. They didn't play Detroit until December 3, 1970.

It’s EC on slide in standard tuning on one of his Strats ,, Duane always played slide in open E & always on a LP ,,, the difference is clear.

@slowhand44dz it's not entirely true... the following day (Dec, 2 1970) he also played with the Dominos, at the Onondaga County War Memorial in Syracuse, New York. Their live debut, in June that same year, had Dave Mason on the second guitar, as he was an original Domino. This was the only concerts were the Dominos had two guitars, if I'm right.

Neil Schon played with them Nov 19, 1970 in Berkeley , CA and BB King played with them Nov 26, 1970 in Cincinnati , OH.
