Eric Clapton is the only guitarist that never plays any "useless" note to "show off" like most of guitarists do. Every note he plays has a feeling and it's so clean. He doesnt do those cliche licks 99% of the guitarists do . You can't predict what he's gonna play next!

I've listened to Clapton live, I've seen Clapton live...he NEVER plays a wrong note. His improv is cleaner than most guitarist's studio recordings.

He is virtuoso, and old wine quality aging superstar, and also very humble - in many occasions he honor SRV, and that tells he is realy in love in music, in guitar.
