I’ve traveled to around 30 countries and have heard this played in bars, clubs and restaurants in most of them. Some amazing versions, a testament of its agelessness. I have a copy of Clapton playing it that is 9 mins long and it has to be one of the best 9 minutes of pure perfection from start to finish. I just wish I knew when it was originally recorded.

The first time I first heard this song was about thirteen years ago in a bus ride accompanying my daughter to her school. There was a video in the bus that shows Eric Clapton singing Wonderful Tonight. From then on I was hook. I'm 60 years old lady now and this one is still one of my super fave. He's a top three guitarist of all time, along with a voice that compliments his playing style oh so very well. To top it all off, the adversity he has overcome throughout his life to become what he has, is more important than anything he's accomplished musically. His autobiography is truly a great read.
