Wow...talk about Alabama's finest! Eric Essix has it all wrapped up in this flowing, sensual tune! So glad I discovered it on Watercolors SiriusXm! I'm from 4 hours south in Gulf Shores, Al. but spent great times with friends in B'ham back in the '70s...we used to go to the Vulcan Statue and look over the city at night...so magical!

I too have loved smooth jazz for decades, and as far as I'm concerned this is my #1! The music also takes me to a specific location and time in my life.. 11pm, Dallas Texas driving east on 635, getting ready to pass Hillcrest and Coit exits, then swing north up 75 to home. It's clear, very humid yet soft and warm. Excitement fills my life as I'm running a storm chase tour company and actively chasing storms in north Texas. This piece captures the mix of thrill, mellow, peace and inner joy for me during that time of my life. Thank you so much Eric for this deeply Expressive spiritual masterpiece. I used to re-string Mr. Essix's guitars back in the late 80s when I worked at a music store in downtown Birmingham. I am glad to see he is doing well and still making music that I love. I still have a copy of his very first album as a matter of fact! This is a fantastic tune, so smooth and hypnotic. I could listen to it on repeat for quite a while.
