I love hearing you guys talking about how “Jon Watts isn’t real” because he’s actually one of the few director names I was familiar with before the MCU even started 😂 My brother and I were obsessed with this KZbin channel called WaverlyFilms wayyy back in the day. I'd love to see them do something totally unexpected, and tackle the Death of Jean DeWolff storyline. The Sin-Eater is one of Spider-Man's scariest villains, and he's just a guy in a ski-mask gunning people down. Plus, it was the first major Spider-Man/Daredevil crossover! (Spidey kicks the shit out of Hornhead at one point, it's wild.) Not to mention, this story is also tangentially tied into Eddie Brock and the origin of Venom. (Brock outs the wrong guy as the killer, and he loses his job at the Daily Globe as a result.)

I'm leaving my comments as I'm watching this and I'm over here as a legit Andrew Garfield fan legitimately watching Tick Tick Boom for what it was and every dang interview was about Spiderman and I forgot spiderman was even coming out. Ok about the Electro alleged “ plot hole” in the movie Max says when he was being overloaded in the fight that he got stuck in the Oscorp Power Grid and then at that point he just started absorbing all of the data from them . In the same movie Harry earlier in the movie tells Peter that Oscorp had been keeping an eye on him . A forgotten plot detail from those movies is how Peter dad was a big deal in that universe and part of the reason of making the spider in the first place , it was apart of Parker’s dna and Peter being able to bond with it was the only one truly. Oscorp knew about Peter but kept it under heavy wraps , Harry saw the Peter stuff but didn’t have access to everything so there was no way of him knowing that Peter was Spidey till the end of the movie when he saw Gwen. Oscorp knowing about Peter was also confirmed in the post credit scene of the 1st movie when THE GENTLEMAN visit Connors and tells him in prison and ask him did he tell Peter “ the truth about his father “ . Also in the TASM 2 this man Peter Parker whole ass father is alive in a deleted scene and visits Peter at the graveyard 😭😭😭😭 . Long story short yea that’s the only reason electro could possibly know about Peter but not see his face and or he was still hanging around the power plant not fully dead when he was absorbing data and overheard Harry and Peter fighting at the plant before they left . Gwen also calls Spider Man Peter in the middle of the electro fight but who knows how great of his hearing was . It’s a lot but i think they said the absorbing Oscorp data thing for a reason it’s just that the old movies never really finished it story for it to make sense and if you don’t remember the Oscorp and Peter dad stuff you’ll be even more confused

I loved the movie so fun!! Not only was the film such a fun experience but so was the audience reactions!! It was a blast. I loved all the scenes with Doctor Strange and Peter interacting!!

Something else I thought of was that Doc Ock would not know that Norman Osborn was the Green Goblin because the butler and Peter had kept it a secret and Harry didn’t know until the end of Spider-man 2 and Doc Ock was dead by then. Unless, he had put two and two together since he is smart but I don’t know just something I thought about.

If I were to bet, I'm pretty sure Spider-Man 4 will be the Symbiote Saga. That's kinda what was teased during the mid-credits scene with Tom Hardy. Anything is possible at this point though. And I think these films will still be part of the MCU and the other Sony Spider-Man stuff will just be "there". But, we all know they don't really count as part of the MCU lol. Same with the Netflix Marvel shows.

So Aunt may has of course died in what if sorts of things but her most famous brush with death was when she was pegged by a sniper bullet post civil war. Course it’s probably more accurate to say Infamous due to the literal god of the marvel universe saying to let her go, Peter saying fuck that and literally selling his marriage to Satan, the guy who was writing bailing during that and the follow up being the basis for this film Beyond that I had an inkling of an idea that I might be one of those reactive audience members. Seeing Toby get stabbed was literally that scene of Toby shouting no because I was so terrified they’d actually kill him

Tobey M. Definitely, 100%, slipped in. It felt like he was barely acting , more like saying lines and just … being there. I mean I guess the “great responsibility “ and stare at Holland while defending the Goblin were kinda good, but overall he was HEAVILY outcasted when compared to William Dafoe, Andre Garfield, Marisa Tomei and Tom Holland. For me the only thing was the cgi was pretty bad and distracting and taking me out of the movie. They looked worse than their 20-7year old original movies especially the spider-men they looked like PS5 cutscenes or fan made cgi like when Andrew came out the portal or the swinging and the reused footage was very obvious. Also idk why the lizard sounded like Liam Neeson even though it was Rhys Ifan very odd audio difference. But what's strange is the doctor strange cgi was pretty good and deaging look pretty good on dock ock so idk what happened on the other stuff.

People are way too hard on Homecoming just because it’s not a traditional “first Spider-Man movie” even though they are the same people who didn’t want to see the same old Spider-Man story. It’s contradictory and I don’t think people like Eric would’ve been happy with anything the MCU could’ve done to introduce Spider-Man in the way they had to. It’s a great introduction to THIS version of Spider-Man.
